Yet another police stand-down in another Democrat-controlled city took place on Sunday. This time, the Antifa-led riot took place in a familiar place Berkeley California, where a group called Patriots Prayer had planned to hold a peaceful demonstration of the exercise of free speech, a rapidly-dying concept in our country wherever Democrats are in control.
Lacking confidence in the intent of the Berkeley police to provide adequate security, Patriots Prayer cancelled its event, but a few of its members showed up anyway to exercise their supposed constitutional right to assemble and speak. That was when they were set upon by hundreds of black-clad, masked Antifa terrorists. (Ironically, much of the action took place underneath a banner hung from a light pole that read, Berkeley Stands United Against Hate.)
And, as has been the case several times previously in Berkeley this year, the police were obviously ordered to stand down and did nothing to curb the violence. At one point, they abandoned the scene altogether, retreating to a nearby station, where I guess they had a cup of coffee and some donuts.
When interviewed by a local news station about the situation, Berkeley Police Chief Andrew Greenwald was nonchalant about his decision to stand down, saying Its a little early, we will take a look at what happened today but it doesnt make sense to fight over something where the conditions have changed. The need for separation simply didnt exist. And well review the operation and once again learn from what we did. And thats pretty much all I have to say for you now
And as far as I am concerned there are some deep discussions that need to happen within our community about providing space for Antifa and some of the folks we saw here today.

Provide space for black clad, MASK WEARING thugs carrying weapons?
Yeah ... PRISON comes to mind.
Carrying flame throwers? And democrats are supporting this. Why is Trump silent about this? Forget about the NG, send in the army, and arrest that mayor.
Since the Democrat Mayor and Democrat Police Chief don’t feel they have a duty to protect the lawful assembly of “right wingers”, perhaps the five Republicans left in Berkley don’t have to pay taxes since they are not getting any services rendered....
Were any prayers said?
Is anti-FreedomOfAssembly also anti-Christian and antisemitic?
A court in at least one community said that police do NOT have a duty or obligation to protect you.
That’s always been the case.
Start having these rallies in towns with Republican Mayors, and watch how differently things turn out. Also start having squads of 4-6 people (younger vets and bikers in plainclothes, preferably) start grabbing the masked jackals and simply start ripping off their masks, with 2-3 camera on hand.
Trump should address this violence with a video montage of it at mega rallies in both Ryan’s and McConnell’s districts. Lay it at the democrats feet and call both “leaders” out for not denouncing them as well after charlottesville
People from various states, races and ethnicity are all swarming to help those of other race and ethnicity in Texas. Where ANTIFA? Wheres BLM?
Every liberal is a violent totalitarian thug.
Antifa is a violent communist terrorist group.
Good idea, except America will no longer be free. There will be no go zones for people.
The Antifa (aka “Demonicrat Brownshirts”), along with their Demonicrat political leaders needed to be tried, convicted and sentenced for sedition and insurrection.
Hey Jeff, lots of civil rights violations going in Berkeley... something needs to be done and somebody needs to go to jail.

Justices Rule Police Do Not Have a Constitutional Duty to Protect Someone
By LINDA GREENHOUSEJUNE 28, 2005
The Supreme Court ruled on Monday that the police did not have a constitutional duty to protect a person from harm, even a woman who had obtained a court-issued protective order against a violent husband making an arrest mandatory for a violation.
The decision, with an opinion by Justice Antonin Scalia and dissents from Justices John Paul Stevens and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, overturned a ruling by a federal appeals court in Colorado. The appeals court had permitted a lawsuit to proceed against a Colorado town, Castle Rock, for the failure of the police to respond to a woman’s pleas for help after her estranged husband violated a protective order by kidnapping their three young daughters, whom he eventually killed.
For hours on the night of June 22, 1999, Jessica Gonzales tried to get the Castle Rock police to find and arrest her estranged husband, Simon Gonzales, who was under a court order to stay 100 yards away from the house. He had taken the children, ages 7, 9 and 10, as they played outside, and he later called his wife to tell her that he had the girls at an amusement park in Denver.
Ms. Gonzales conveyed the information to the police, but they failed to act before Mr. Gonzales arrived at the police station hours later, firing a gun, with the bodies of the girls in the back of his truck. The police killed him at the scene.
And if we look at the 1960s integration marches and riots, the police didn’t always act to protect those gathering for peaceful assembly from assault either.
Are the buildings owned by dems...in otherwise is the destruction actually an an elaborate insurance scam?
The real shock for me is that if you are attacked by a rioter with a flamethrower and you trigger a warning shot, YOU will go to jail and the flamethrower guy will NOT.
