Donald Trump has retweeted a message criticizing former president Barack Obama for “pardoning” a “traitor” just days after facing a backlash over his own pardoning of controversial former sheriff Joe Arpaio.
The president shared a tweet from Fox News journalist Katie Pavlich, who incorrectly suggested Obama pardoned Chelsea Manning during an online debate with Obama’s former National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes over Trump’s decision to pardon Arpaio.
Obama in fact commuted Manning’s 35-year sentence, meaning her prison sentence was cut short but the conviction stands, whereas a pardon is usually granted for people based on good conduct and removes civil penalties associated with that person—meaning they have the right to vote.....

Don’t believe these Lying Leftist Media outlets that proved themselves during the 2016 campaign to be operatives of the DNC and intentional liars. They are presumed to be lying and we should presume what they publish is a lie. The presumption can only be rebutted with the outlet providing clear and convincing evidence they are not lying.
We should be mostly publishing the truth on FR, not the lies, and as much good news as possible to bolster morale. We should find and post reliable sources that have already deconstructed the lie and replaced it with the truth and with a headline that says the truth. We need much more of that on FR IMO. The key is the headline and the first few sentences because not everyone has time to drill down. The endless stream of negative, lying headlines sabotages our purpose IMO.
So, commuting 35 years off the sentence is not a pardon in their eyes.
