Carroll Quigley supplied the technical overview, from the age of great monopolies in the early 20th century, and continuing.
Jules Archer supplied a practical example from a specific historical instance, The Business Plot.

Interpolating the two, we can see that continuing monopolies like Amazon and Google are intrinsically fascist--their leftward slant notwithstanding.

Quigley showed: You were a small sausage maker in Germany in the early twentieth century. Muscle from the Sausage Cartel came to pay you "a friendly visit". Either you sold out to the cartel, or you'd be put out of business.

Archer showed: The House of M. at the behest of the House of duP., nearly got away with "suggesting" to President FDR that he was to ill to govern, overthrowing the elected government of the US, their hoped military ruler Gen. McA. The issue was FDR taking the country off the gold standard cut in half the assets of the super-elites.

Archer's story of the American Hero, Marine Gen. Smedley Darlington Butler (at his Quaker home with his Congressman Dad, it was all "thee" and "thou"), showed the bare face of Monopolistic Capitalism's political fronts--Brownshirts, Blackshirts, National Fronts, Croix de Guerre...American Legion.

No monopoly is a binary, that’s why you have the phrase “near monopoly” which states that something is NOT a monopoly but could be soon. It’s like a foot, something is either a footlong or it isn’t, 11 inches, nearly a foot, is NOT a foot. BINARY. And Google and Amazon are NOT monopolies, they aren’t even almost monopolies.
