Who writes this stuff? One hurricane in an area that's been harmed by hurricanes since weather has been recorded proves nothing. I would contend if it raises hypotheses that would be that

1. Construction and pavement should not replace wetlands and other areas that soak up water and

2. Chemical plants should be at a safe distance from residential areas.

I'm also wondering how solar panels and windmills fared.

No - too many factors to account for. “Proof” requires actual experimentation, control of the “experiments” and perfect knowledge of initial conditions. A butterfly flapping its wings in the Amazon could have been the primary cause. So could an infinitude of other “causes.”

What the Delusional Lying Left says: “Hurricane Harvey proves the man-made Global Warming threat.”

What the Delusional Lying Left MEANS: Hurricane Harvey proves that only Global Totalitarian Government can stop hurricanes.

The Left lies, is delusional, and believes their own lies.

Forget the Delusional Lying Left. Let’s move on to the restoration of our Free Constitutional Republic and watch the Left sink like a stone.

Low power and very, very high power during the hurricane, respectively. :-)

If we have more hurricanes than usual, it’s due to climate change. If we have fewer hurricanes than usual, it’s due to climate change. If we have a hotter than normal summer, it’s due to climate change. If we have a cooler than normal summer, it’s due to climate change. If we have a colder than normal winter, it’s due to climate change. If we have a milder than normal winter, it’s due to climate change. Droughts are due to climate change. Torrential rains are due to climate change. Partly cloudy with a chance of rain is due to climate change.

In recorded & semi-recorded (meaning physical evidence!) times there have been much larger hurricanes then Harvey that struck the US!

The left again shows its ignorance!

NO. The planet has natural, recurring, cycles and man has VERY little to do with them. Ya wanna blame hurricanes on cars and hairspray and electricity? How far back do killer hurricanes go? Way past the Galveston monster, before we started keeping records! Land sinks and erodes, people live in dangerous places, hurricanes come and go and did when there were no” evil” Americans except Indians. Guess they shouldn’t have had so many campfires, eh?

I suspect that the answer they are after is for a different question: "Have we got enough of them fooled yet?"

June-November has always been regarded as Hurricane season.

So, no.

We start having them in February and such and I will say something is up with the weather, but I would not say it’s because of people.

Does Hurricane Harvey prove the man-made Global Warming threat?
= = =

OK Folks,

Let’s straighten out this ‘man-made’ and ‘mother nature’ stuff.

Insert GOD into the equation.

GOD is totally supreme over ‘weather’ throughout the Bible.

This is kind of like in Job. God is supreme over whatever is happening.

Well said.

Weather changes. There was an unusually warm January in the northeast a few years ago,. The media, headquartered as they are in the New York/Washington axis, declared that global warming was evident with that unusual day to day weather. Joggers were out in Central Park and all that was reported by the media. Yep, joggers sure are evidence of global warming.

Even if we accept for sake of argument that man is contributing to changes in climate, we don’t know what amount is due to man, and what amount is due to climate cycles we don’t understand and can’t control anyway.

There have been numerous ice ages in earth’s history. During the last ice age, Chicago was buried under a mile of ice. How did all that ice melt, if not for some sustained periods of global warming?

Let’s take a poll on the weather. While we’re at it, let’s sign a petition telling God he needs to make some changes.

So many historic high and low temperatures are from waaaaaaay long ago. They never comment about that.

I remember 1980 Christmas in Milwaukee/Sheboygan that was like summer.

I remember just a few years before the whole shrieking pandemic of global cooling that was about to occur and freeze us all into meatsicles.

These people are freaking sociopath neurotic morons projecting their anxiety fears onto anyone who will be gullible enough to listen.

I am not saying weather cannot change or that earthly changes cannot affect weather. I am saying WE HUMANS cannot significantly alter weather on this planet. We can make places inhospitable for us or dangerous to live, ie nukes and stuff. But we can’t cause the ice caps to shrink and we cannot cause temperatures globally to rise any significant amount.

The sun and ocean currents are the big players on global weather changes. We cannot change either.
