I like the hardware, don’t like the new stuff which revolves around reducing user input and increasing push content and ecosystems.

Plus, wow, the prices on the Mac stuff (sorry fellow Apple users). I’ve got a free MacBook in the other room that I plan to upgrade for mem, SSD, and battery — then upgrade to one of the Intel Mac Linux flavors, just to make it convenient to use online and with modern ware.

Meanwhile, I’ve been very satisfied with the dirt-cheap Asus laptop I use for online bill pay and banking and whatever else. Probably my next new computer will be a Raspberry Pi or one of those windows sticks, plugged into the big flat screen TV.
