One of President Trumps major campaign promises was to Drain the Swamp. It appealed to voters, long worn and tired of the almost constant corruption and misuse of government powers and public money. And the president really did start off well. His Executive Orders on lobbying were seen as a sweeping move that should have been done a long time ago. But as more cases of corruption are being allowed to slip by, it begs two questions: Is the President serious about this? And is it even possible to do?
The latest disappointment is the former IRSs Exempt Organizations Unit head, Lois Lerner. She was responsible (in her role) for designating which groups were eligible to become tax-exempt, and unfortunately, she used partisan politics to decide which were worthy enough. Under her watch, it seemed only Liberal organizations qualified. It was a serious abuse of power and position. The Justice Department has decided that it will not look into the 2015 case.

Did anybody really believe that those corrupt in Government were simply going to roll over and slither away because we chanted “drain the swamp”?
DC is a craptesian spring.
Trump said he would drain the swamp. We need to help him by primarying a whole bunch of RINOs.
according to some blogger from your favorite blog rag who has no idea what may be going on.
There will be no swamp draining. All the advisors that were helping Trump move forward with this have been fired.
There is now a gatekeeper (Kelly) whose responsibility is keeping Trump isolated from those that would attack the corrupt status quo.
We have a deliberately weak justice department, whose sole purpose is to dig up enough dirt on Trump to provide cover for impeachment if he gets out of line.
Meanwhile, all the criminals walk free.
Admit it. The only thing we have left is the bullet box. All other options have failed.
Most people chanting ‘drain the swamp’ had no idea how deep the swamp is. The President may not have either.
The Council on Foreign Relation/Goldman-Sachs pool remains in charge in most respects. It will be necessary to find insiders in that pool to take that pool down. The President seems unable to find real allies in that pool.
“Whats Happening with the Swamp Drain?”
1 man against thousands of corrupt people, sent there by the people that demand Trump somehow circumvent the constitution to force them all out of office, when they are too lazy, or stupid, to vote them out.
Here is how you help, whiners? You see that election coming up in 2018?
Well get off your ass, and get your neighbors to vote out the idiot you sent to D.C. IN THE PRIMARIES.
Can you pull that off?
Very good question. Why didnt Trump at least fire every Obama hire in the Executive branch on day 1? That would have helped a lot! Too late now.
Give him a chance... you know he wants to. It took decades for the critters to infest the swamp, it takes time to get them out.
As of today Deep State,Obama holdovers,Nevertrumps and shadow governments rule as a cabal.
Give it a little time.
Best thing I’ve read about Kellly.
Government without a swamp is a figment of a naïve imagination.
I can’t believe the FBI DOJ decision to to go after IRS Lois Lerner and her political abuse of the IRS.
Some careers should be destroyed over this raw abuse of political power.
Hardly anyone in dc supports the agenda voted for by the majority of American citizens. We need to help the President out by ending the careers of virtually all those in congress. The revised congress then needs to dust of impeachment and hold judicial appointees accountable for compliance with the law - in particular the supreme law of the land.
This is not going to happen overnight and we all know the evil will use every tool at its disposal to maintain and increase its control over the lives of free men.
