Trump Plotting Victory on The Wall

There is no denying that the promises of illegal immigration crackdowns and a secure border wall were behind a large portion of President Trump’s votes. He got regular folk excited by the idea of being able to properly protect the nation’s borders, but up until now, despite some good progress, he has not yet managed to get the wall built nor effectively deal with Sanctuary Cities. However, a look at recent events shows that the ducks are being lined up nicely.

On Tuesday, US District Judge Gonzalo Curiel, ruled against blocking parts of a border wall being built in California. This is a little reported thing but it is a fact that Californians, despite being against the idea of Trump’s Wall, they still want part of their own wall to be built. Trump hailed this decision as a victory. Why would he do that?

Well, yes, but the real problem is the POTUS can’t raise or spend money. He needs a traitorous GOP Congress to cooperate.

That’s our President. If at first you don’t succeed, another method is tried.

And if it came to pass that Sunny California did end up with no wall whatsoever, and no protection from ICE...what would residents do? Sue the California State? Pack up their guns in their fossil fueled vehicles and run from the state? Let’s see - that would mean California losing how many US Congressmen? How many liberal votes, from DC to California? Are they prepared to address these unforeseen consequences.

Mr. President, you know the state will ultimately take you to court for not upholding federal ICE regulations. Hopefully, you have some GREAT attorney to represent US.

This has a possibility of being a YUGE! win for US the whole nation.

The madness was saying that Mexico would pay for it. A leader of a country has no business proclaiming what another sovereign nation will or will not do. You notice we don’t hear that now.

At first I thought that Trump was just pressuring California’s Congressional delegation to fund the wall.

This article raises the prospect that it is electoral strategy, to turn off Californians from the Democratic Party with a messy immigration crisis camping in their backyards, and lunching on their tax payments. If the border is strengthened elsewhere, and the door left open in California, then that is where the flow will run.

He has a pen and a phone. Let him instruct the IRS to tax remittances from the U.S. to everywhere at 20-25% until the wall is completed. Any non-Mexicans who wish to do so may file for a rebate of the tax.

Wall is simply funded from military budget.
Security is a proper role for the President.

Need no schtinking Congress.

Using drug proceeds seized from Mexican cartels would pay for a substantial portion of the wall. In effect, Mexico would then pay for it.

To wit: U.S. is already trying to seize about $14 billion from El Chapo alone, I think this may in part be what Trump meant

Why do you think he hasn’t he used his pen and his phone to do that?

I may be mistaken in believing he has the power to do so, he may be listening to bad advice, or no one has sat him down and spelled it out.

I wonder if anyone has made that suggestion to Trump? Why not? The liberals will howl like monkey, but that’s just more winning.
