Last night Donald Trump spoke at the annual Gridiron dinner. While at times serious, he took the opportunity to poke fun at a lot of people, himself included. Among the remarks:
“So many people have been leaving the White House,” Trump said at one point, joking about this week’s spate of White House departures. “It’s invigorating since you want turnover. I like chaos. It really is good. Who’s going to be the next to leave? Steve Miller or Melania?”And perhaps the best one;Referring to his son-in-law Jared Kushner’s loss of security clearance, he said, "We were late tonight because Jared could not get through security."
Addressing Vice President Mike Pence’s supposed hostility toward the LGBT community, he said, "He is one of the best straight men you're ever going to meet. ... He is straight. Man." Trump also said, "I really am proud to call him the apprentice."
"I just want to say this, this is one of the best times I've had with the media — this might be the most fun I've had since watching your faces on Election Night."There was a lot of humor. That's not how it was reported in the Moronic Media.

President Trump on Saturday praised a move by China’s Communist Party to abolish presidential term limits, and suggested that maybe the United States would “give that a shot some day.”
“He’s now president for life. President for life. And he’s great,” Trump told Republican donors during a closed-door even in Florida. A recording of Trump’s remarks was obtained by CNN.
“And look, he was able to do that,” he added. “I think it’s great. Maybe we’ll give that a shot some day.”
If you listen to the audio, you can hear the laughter following Trump’s comment. The Moronic Media, seeing one more opportunity to hammer Trump, portrayed the remark as a serious overture.
This Trump derangement has gotten so bad that even Bill Maher pretends to be fed up:
Wonder why Fake News resonates so much with Trump fans – because so much of it is fake. Just nonsense made to keep you perpetually offended with an endless stream of ‘controversies’ that aren’t controversial.
But Maher does have a point. It is this overtly biased nonsense that does resonate with Trump supporters. It also casts the Moronic Media in a worse light than it already is. Ironically, earlier in the afternoon Trump said that mainstream media has gone crazy:
One just has to enjoy watching Trump once more setting the hook and the media swallow it whole.

It does not matter what Trump says the media will twist it
and lurch into outrage. So he is free to have all the fun he wants
with his language. It is actually liberating. His supporters understand humor.

Having turned down press dinners last year, Trump told journalists who belong to the Gridiron Club that he wanted to come this year and “ruin your evening in person.”
The left-wing media insults him and pokes fun at him, and demeans his intelligence and character, constantly, and they can’t take it when Trump does a “back at ya!” type of event and speech.
The “media” is such a joke. I watch very little news on the boob tube anymore. I turned on FNC this morning to see if there was any ACTUAL news that happened over night. All you get is a 24/7 Bashfest of President Trump from a bunch of brainless, American-hating, talking bobbleheads. It’s like going to the zoo and spending all day in the monkey house watching the antics of a bunch of monkeys.
The vermin are so full of hate for Trump that they cannot recognize humor or irony (saying the opposite of what one means).
The phallus inhalers deliberately and intentionally changed Trump’s words to “arm ALL teachers “.
They are a humorless bunch. They just don’t get him, nor do they want to try.

I just had to turn the fruit cake Howie Kurtz off my TV. he is also addicted to trashing not just DJT, but the entire family...

I think you just described what happens when we see the deep state doing what they do.

Well how often do you do that? If you got in the habit of turning on the boob tube as often as you go to the zoo you’ll be much happier. I hardly have it on any more and I’m a lot less irritated. It’s just another bad habit to dump.

We are fast approaching mandatory frontal lobotomy’s for all leftist media personnel. It’s not even an option any longer; this interdiction must happen to save their lives. If not they risk harming themselves and others for the rest of their pitiful lives.
For anyone worried it may lower their IQ; going from 60 to 59 won’t be noticeable and we need the toilet cleaners, porti-potti cleaners, and ditch diggers anyway. You know; jobs some Americans don’t want to do. It will have the added benefit of them either not voting or voting Republican for the rest of their lives.
These messages are not directed towards his base for consumption and aren't necessarily what he really thinks or what positions he plans on taking.
But the latter is what causes so much consternation among his supporters. If they take what he says literally, they will be constantly frustrated like the media and all the pundits are.
Trump will continue to play the media and his opponents by keeping them confused, frustrated and thrown off kilter by playing the game his way and not theirs.
But he will not falter from keeping his campaign promises to his base.
