Is It Time for California to Secede From the Union?

No, seriously, this is an important question. It’s like in a failing marriage: if things are beyond repair, after you’ve tried everything and nothing seem to work anymore, every day is exactly the same (nagging and fighting over any minute detail)and all that, it’s better for both spouses to go their separate ways, don’t you think? The marriage example in California’s case is pretty accurate, as the former Golden State is now boasting its open defiance against the law of of the land, in this case federal immigration laws. California’s defiant behavior finally determined that sleepy elf also known as AG Sessions to do something about it, i.e. the DOJ filed a lawsuit, which blocks California’s sanctuary state laws. The purpose of the lawsuit is to establish once and for all that sanctuary jurisdictions are unconstitutional.

I think that it is time for the Democrats to drop the mask and try. That will give the rest of America the schadenfreude of watching Californians in Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Francisco change their minds as their city is under siege while they eat their own pets and drink their own piss.

“Dismantling this Republic by getting California to secede is one of George Soros’ most cherished goals. I am troubled by how many people on this board would be willing to help him with that.”

Yeah, they make me sick.

It is time for them to secede! Perhaps in doing so they convince New York and Illinois to join them!

Never going to happen. Pelosi and friends would be in a right panic if they thought there was any chance of that - losing much of their power in a new US. You can be sure liberals from across the country would have California liberals simmer down and rethink things.

Funny thing is the Constitution forbids the splitting of existing states in the Union to make new states.

The California’s government will float bonds and their own version of t-bills which will cover their debt immateriality.

This has nothing to do with tariffs.

Is it possible for you to acknowledge that the 1% of GDP aid to Israel is insignificant?

Israeli PMs have always acknowledged how critical US support is to Israel.

My grandmother used to gave me $5.00 at Christmas which was an insignificant amount but my mother made me thank her anyway by sending a card every year.

Are you so ossified? Perhaps you are senile or a geriatric?

Many moons ago there was an amazing San Francisco radio show, the Lee Rodgers Show. Even though the Creepozoid liberals would jury rig all elections, they could not stop Rodgers. For many years the San Francisco Chronicle newspaper would have a contest and Rodgers won every year as the best radio show. When the Chronicle Creepozoids would bring the Award into the studio, you could tell they hated it. Eventually the Chronicle just stopped the award altogether.
