You owe it to your country, Sir, to pick them up, dust them off, and ready them for the coming new battle. Unfortunately, Round 2 has already slipped away from Making America Great Again to Saving America Again
It was, as a caller told Rush Limbaugh today, a snake bite in the butt, President Trump. Your suddenly changing course and signing the outrageous Omnibus Bill, that is.
Up to now, youve done a good job remaining loyal to the things you promised some 63 million people who voted for you. Now many of them will say you are a politician just like all the othersand just like back stabbers House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell wanted to leave your looking.
This gives the Democrats a BIG boost in the midterms because conservatives feel they’ve been betrayed.
Conservatives have been betrayed.
I didn’t believe he’d sign it.
I was sure it was rope-a-dope.
I watched it on TV. Was like watching a boxer after he had been knocked out. Or a football coach after his team lost the championship. He was beaten.
she’s wrong. Trump could have veto’ed the bill, but, from the rollcall of votes, it’s obvious his veto would have been overridden.
The problem isn’t Trump. The problem is the Reps determined to sink Trump. 37 senate ‘nays’ says it all. Where’s the majority????? Voting dem.
But not to worry. The USArmy Corps of Engineers are very good at building walls. And they just got a passel of money.
Let’s wait to see what’s in it.
“1. Everyone calm down. Trump signed this POS Omnibus Bill for one reason : to get $700 billion for the military. It’s his #1 priority.
And the largest increase in defense spending in 15 years. That’s a VERY good outcome.”

Feel betrayed? “feel”? No feel about.
I’m done. As far as my vote is concerned the Rubicon has been crossed. I do not have the vocabulary to describe the level of my disgust with all of this.
Trump should have vetoed it. If they chose to over ride his veto then it would be on them. He saddled up with them today and signed a bill he hasn’t even completely read.
“Trump could have vetoed the bill, but, from the rollcall of votes, its obvious his veto would have been overridden.”
Why can’t that sink in to the brains of the short sighted?
He needed to do the right thing. Letting them over ride it is way better than joining them.
Trump dodged being JFK’d, IMO
Maybe Trump will spend the allocated military budget, which is needed and not all of the other expenditures which are not needed.
Maybe Trump is going to pull a "Nixon" on them.
$500,000,000.00 to Planned Parenthood.
I let the sordid stories about Trump stepping out on Melania slide because I thought he was quite possibly a reformed man. Wrong.
Trump is just another piece of crap. Maybe worse than others because of his deception.
Especially disappointed with Pence.
1000 babies a day dead with our tax money handed to the butchers from Donald J. Trump and Mike Pence (who says he is a Christian before anything else...sure Mike).
Did it come with an audit of the Pentagon? Billions have disappeared. The Iraq War cost us trillions. Bolton seems to want to repeat that with a war against Iran
Then make your voice heard in the primaries
Something else to consider here is that the Republicans in Congress are well aware of a dirty little secret that principled conservatives don't like to admit:
Donald Trump may have gotten 63 million votes in 2016, but a sizeable majority of them have a vested interest in perpetuating much of the pork you find in a bill like this. The proof of this will be when you see these Republicans standing up on the campaign trail bragging about this bill -- not hiding from it.
We should have taken care of Iran in 1980. Or aided their green revolution in 2009.
