Trump pressure pushes Jordan to choose Israel or PLO
Canada Free Press ^ | 04/15/18 | David Singer

Jordan's decision should be a no-brainer

The Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO)—refusing to bow to pressure by President Trump to cease payments to terrorists and their families currently exceeding US$400 million annually—is looming as a potential threat to end 96 years of unbroken Hashemite rule in Jordan.

PLO Chairman Mahmoud Abbas - addressing the ninth annual Islamic Beit al-Maqdes International Conference in Ramallah last week—has sent a veiled message of the PLO’s intention to challenge Jordan’s ruling Hashemite family if PLO demands for a State in the West Bank with Jerusalem as its capital are not met.

payments to terrorists and their families currently exceeding US$400 million annually...

Why would they, it’s not like it was their money,
after all that’s why it’s in US $.

“payments to terrorists and their families currently exceeding US$400 million annually”

$400 Million would pay for at least 25-30 miles of wall.

Will be nice if Jordan disowned the PLA and Hezbollah. It would really be a game changer in the mideast. Though don’t expect the Palestinians to roll over. They’re going to raise hell until they run out of OP money. Then they’ll cry people are dying in the street of starvation.

The PLO takes money from the United States, the EU , The Oil States and the UN (more US dollars)

The part leftover after the PLO leaders have skimmed the take is used to fund terrorism and recycled to bribe the worlds politicians to support the PLO

The PLO and HAMAS are the true oppressors of the Palestinian people.

The PLO is and always has been a criminal organization and one of the great tragedies of our generation was Bill and Hillary Clinton's insistence that their star struck hero, Yasser Arafat, be selected as Israel's “Partner for Peace” when their were many other people who could have made a true and lasting peace with Israel

Yeah, that sounds like *Trump* pressure, ya partisan media shills. Thanks Sean_Anthony.

The last time the Palis tried to challenge Jordan, they got their behinds kicked out, and not in a gentle way.

The ethnic makeup of Jordan’s citizens (excluding the Syrian and Iraqi refugees) is the following:

They are divided roughly and schematically into two populations: Bedouin and Palestinian, with the first making up about a quarter of the citizenry and the second the other three quarters. The Palestinians are of two types: Those who are dwell in the villages (”falakhim”) and cities (”mdanim”) of the “Small Fertile Crescent” stretching from the fertile parts of Jordan near Amman north to the Syrian border and east to Zarka, and those refugees and migrants who moved from the western bank of the Jordan River to its eastern bank from 1948 on.

In the Arab world there are vast cultural differences between rural and urban Bedouin, with each group looking down on the other. Both, however, consider the desert dwellers primitive and lower class and there are very few marriages between the groups. Ever since the establishment of the “Transjordan Emirates” in 1921, its rulers, Abdullah I, his grandson Hussein ibn Talel and Hussein’s son Abdullah II, relied on the Bedouin to fill the ranks of intelligence, army and administrative positions. The Palestinians, routinely kept from filling any governmental or security posts – were directed to money-making areas and are actually the sector that forms the economic basis of the kingdom. They well recall the 1970 “Black September” when King Hussein massacred thousands of Palestinians who, led by Yasir Arafat, threatened his monarchy.

Read the article for a long analysis: “Is Jordan about to fall apart? Is Jordan the next destination for the “Arab Spring?” Demonstrations against the king have reached new levels.

The Jordanians would learn their lesson if they had PLO rule imposed on their asses. They'd beg Israel for help to get rid of it. And the inherently racist "Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan" would vanish forever.

I got a better idea:

Let's give Israel and Jordan $400 million worth of D9s and diesel.......and they can push the PLO trash into the sea.

They already did that. And the Hashemites drove them off. That’s around the time they decided to make a Palestinian state. So now we’re back to contest Hashemite rule. They’re lucky American millennials have no sense of history. You can change back and forth between two con games every twenty years or so, and they’ll never notice.

Thank you for posting this analysis of Jordan-PLO history.

So Arafat tried to overthrow the Jordanian King in 1970? Like the Clintons and probably both Obamas, he's was a vicious fighter who will try to take down anyone in his way.

His final illness (AIDS) and death were the only solace to the thousands of families his terrorists destroyed.
