Jobs are posted at www.jobs4tn.gov.
Is this what the left is resiting?
This is terrible! How will we fill these jobs? We must open the borders! /s
Hehe.
Think about being a high school grad right now. At age 10 you knew nothing about politics or economics but have been told for 8 years how wonderful and smart Obama was. Despite this, you wondered where the jobs were. Now you’re 18 and realizing that you were lied to - intentionally so.

Tariffs are our new best friend.
Well, not yet. It is going to hurt first. But our economy is larger, so we will be able to hold out longer than country xxx. They will most certainly cry uncle before us.
Not really. You will barley notice any price increases.
Tariffs are patriot candy!
“It is going to hurt first.”
Why do you say that?
So far it hasn’t hurt at all.
600 new jobs.(at least)
It’s not going to hurt (us) AT ALL.
So in the short run, there will be pain, but since our economy is so large, most companies need/want access to our market, so the other countries will probably cry uncle first.
Germany has a 27.5% tariffs on our cars and we have a 2.5% tariffs on Germany's cars mainly BMWs and Mercedes. On the other hand, I can't see a huge demand for our cars/trucks considering how narrow some of their roads are in the many medieval towns. Trump has not raised tariffs yet on European cars, we will see if he does.
I can't wheat to see the outcome.
This is great news!
And selling appliances made in America has a ripple effect as the steel is made in the US, and probably the inner electronics.
Imported cheaply made products produced by peasant labor is a great cost saving almost none of which is passed on to the consumer. What would be the point otherwise?
No, not true.”
Yes.
“It will increase prices.”
An oft-repeated mindless talking point; not necessarily.
“That can’t be denied.”
Yes it can. Easily: Companies can eat tariffs to keep market share, countries (like China) can do same by devaluing its currency.
” Increased tariffs on products made here will reduce demand, costing jobs and closing factories and/or reducing shifts - that’s a given.”
Since we’re a net importer, jobs gained will be greater than jobs lost.
“Law of economics always works.”
Lol, like the “Phillips curve”? Best way to kill inflation: lay everyone off!
“Laws” of economics are very...fluid.
“However, something needed to be done. We have allowed everyone to take advantage of us.”
Agree!
“So in the short run, there will be pain,”
No.
” but since our economy is so large, most companies need/want access to our market, so the other countries will probably cry uncle first.”
Agree again! “A trade war will be easy to win.” -President Trump

You’d be surprised. I saw huge Dodge Ram trucks all over Moscow, not too long ago.
The more tariffs we have the better off we’ll all be. They’ll be no aggregate “short-term” pain, the economy will explode in leaps and bounds.
