Why don’t you take a deep breath and let this play out instead of panicking ? Have you ever sat thru a trial? Dear God!

What’s convincing about it?

Prediction: Trump will withdraw the Kavanaugh nomination. So far, the ghost of tell-all Kavanaugh friend (verifiable) Mark Judge hovers over this hearing, and he might eventually have to testify. He has written an entire book which can easily be used as “pre-testimony testimony” , in effect, on this whole subject and culture of “Gen-X” dissolution, partying , and sexual recklessness of his compatriots at DC area Catholic boy’s schools, one of whom was BK. My feeling is that if Kavanaugh does not acquit himself forcefully in his upcoming testimony, public opinion will have been moved to take the side of Blasey Ford. The nomination of Kavanaugh at that time may be deemed “not worth pursuing”, because of the expanding forum it guarantees in allowing Dems to continue using these hearings and the commentary that follows in their wake, as disseminating their self-congratulatory MeToo agenda. Having said all that, the concurrent jockeying for position of porn lawyer Avenatti and his latest nutcase client Swetnick, who has conjured ghoulish images of assembly-line rapefests at the parties BK and Judge attended , will have to be shunted to the background.Swetnick’s overwrought claims could only serve to undermine the Blasey Ford testimony as the rightful focus of this nomination process.

“She is well coached and the Democrat questions were well rehearsed.”

It sounds like her earlier claim that she couldn’t travel to Washington for fear of flying was a false statement. With her earlier extensive record of flying for pleasure, this was not a well thought out claim.

We can see she lied about her inability to fly; have to question if she is lying about other things.

Judge Napolitano just stated on FOX that she appeared convincing.

I am not panicking, just throwing out my opinion and observations.

I repeat, her narrative sounded convincing, the Dems are well scripted, Ford is being questioned by the Dems - who are in her corner, and the impartial prosecutor. The GOP is not attacking her as the Dems have attacked Kavanaugh.

In the afternoon, this will be repeated.

Maybe the prosecutor is finding holes in her narrative which elude us.

At this point, it does not appear to be going well for us. The reality is in the perception.

The entire process sets a bad precedence for us if they succeed.

I agree with your every word. Who thought having a prosecutor would be helpful to the republicans?? A prosecutor would be ON HER SIDE! WE need a rabid dog DEFENSE LAWYER!

“Prediction: Trump will withdraw the Kavanaugh nomination.”

I have more confidence in Trump than that.

If the Kavanaugh nomination goes down, and if the Rs were to pick up Senate seats, Trump is likely to renominate him and vote again without Flake in the mix.

The republicans are embarrassingly inept. They are approaching this from the position of failure.

Her saccharine presentation of meek innocence of process is nauseating.

What they are would be unsupportive of the rule of law.

Here the RINOs show their contempt for the principle of the presumption of innocence just as much as the Dems do.

I find Napolitano unconvincing.

And Kavanaugh will get his chance.

This boils down to her word against his, which is not a case.

But this isn’t a trial, this is for nominating a Supreme Court Justice, and unfortunately there will be Senators who will think that while it wasn’t him, he’s still not worth it, if they can just get somebody else.

Biden pointed out the worthlessness of “he shed (sic), she said” back during the Clarence Thomas hearings. So yes, it applies here.

And Kavanaugh has yet to defend himself against this, so this is a trial as much as Thomas’ confirmation hearings were.

I hate Napolitano, but he is a judge. Looks at this from a legal perspective.

You are correct about Kavanaugh testifying, but he will be facing hostile interrogations, unlike this witch who is being cream-puffed by her supporters while the GOP sits on their hands and neither attack her nor defend him.

Regardless of facts, people sitting on the fence respond to
emotion rather than facts.

Lying Blumenthal attacking Trump now. Love to see somebody clock Blumenthal.

Kavanaugh is a judge too.

And he has already faced hostile interrogation during these hearings.

If (when) this boils down to “he said, she said” as Biden said 27 years ago, no Senator will have an excuse. As for certain RINO Senators, I suspect they may have had their minds made up long beforehand anyhow; but again, they’re without excuse.
