I am requesting prayers to my mother-in-law who passed away last night and for my wife for the strength to get through the difficult time. We were blessed to have her come down from Fairbanks to have Thanksgiving with us and meet her new great grandson. We’re blessed to have that time with her and for her to spend the holiday with us. We found out late last night that she had passed, I tried to get my wife to the airport in Anchorage last night but the highway was closed. I was able to get her dropped off early this morning and she’s on her way north right now. One heck of a day yesterday with the earthquake(s) and her passing. We had aftershocks all day yesterday and all night last night, some of them pretty substantial. I think that was her mom saying farewell! A day this family certainly will not forget…

My condolences to you. In the space of just seven months this year I’ve lost my mother-in-law and my father.

At the funerals of many of my relatives, these words were a great comfort. May they be a comfort to you in this hour of trial.
