Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday asked President Donald Trump to reschedule his State of the Union address or deliver it in writing as long as the government remains shut down.
"Sadly, given the security concerns and unless government re-opens this week, I suggest that we work together to determine another suitable date after government has re-opened for this address or for you to consider delivering your State of the Union address in writing to the Congress on January 29th," Pelosi wrote in a letter to Trump.
Troof!
Her “security concerns” gambit was concerning her (and Dhimmicrat) sanity.
Splody heads.
Anything she wants I am against.
Just posted why she doesn’t want it...live...before congress.
A recurring democrat theme.
No way.
Tell Pelosi to shove it.
Trump has the leverage now.
Trump should write the SOTU address, send a copy to congress, then present it to the American people via an oval office address.
I agree....Security concerns...because there are a lot of Dem nuts loose.
Exactly.
He’s utterly exposed these clowns. About damn time.
Government shutdown is no ‘crisis’

This government shutdown is now longer than any in history. The media keep using the word crisis.
Shutdown sows chaos, confusion and anxiety! says the Washington Post. Pain spreads widely.
The New York Times headlined, its all just too much!
But wait. Looking around America, I see people going about their business families eating in restaurants, employees going to work, children playing in playgrounds, etc. I have to ask: Wheres the crisis?
Pundits talk as if government is the most important part of America, but it isnt.
We need some government, limited government. But most of life, the best of life, goes on without government, many of the best parts in spite of government.
Of course, the shutdown is a big deal to the 800,000 people who arent being paid. But they will get paid. Government workers always do after shutdowns.
Columnist Paul Krugman calls this shutdown, Trumps big libertarian experiment. But its not libertarian. Governments excessive rules are still in effect, and eventually government workers will be paid for not working. That makes this a most un-libertarian experiment.

I'd prefer a small 15,000 seat arena filled with screaming and applauding supporters. Oh, and the corrupt media in the back so he can point them out again receiving raucous applause.
She has some nerve. Nope, give it even if rats don’t show up. It just shows how juvenile they are.
Why doesn’t she just re-open the government by adding the Wall funding?
So let me make sure I’ve got this straight.
She’s worried about “security concerns” for herself and/or congress.
But, as far as the American people, our borders, not so much.
My disgust for these people knows no bounds. I hope they die in a fire.
The President cant go to the House unless invited by Pelosi. So that wont work. He could break w tradition and speak to the Senate however, plus random Republican house members. Optics would be fun.
What if he gave a televised speech from the oval office on that evening?
He literally cant. Pelosi is in charge of the House. He cant enter without her invite.
Rat congressits remain on Puerto Rico Beaches Bravely fighting the evil President Trump during his terrible and inhumane shutdown crisis!
The sky is falling, the sky is falling! Because....well...Shutdown!
