It took a few years for President Trump to get it right, but he finally found a real U.S. Attorney General, who will insure that justice will be served

It has been quite a while since Americans have witnessed an honorable and effective Attorney General serving in that important position. The two Attorneys General during the Obama administration were hopelessly partisan and extremely protective of the President.

Eric Holder famously claimed that he was “the President’s wing-man” who was “there with my boy.” Obviously, he worked non-stop to protect the President from any legal trouble and congressional investigations. Whether it was Operation Fast and Furious, the IRS Tea Party abuse scandal or the Benghazi terrorist attack, Attorney General Holder was insistent on shielding Barack Obama from any trouble. He was so committed to that goal that Holder became the first U.S. Attorney General to be held in Contempt of Congress for refusing to release documents related to the Fast and Furious investigation.

I hate to see anyone put their faith in barr. He talks a good game, but I'll bet it is all a dog and pony show that produces exactly nothing but more stall tactics. He is a founding member of the deep state, a bushie and supported jeb. The only reason Trump nominated him is because he was the only one mitch would get approved, not very encouraging if you ask me. JMHO

The DOJ is the political brain and nerve center of Fed.gov. It is a corrupt, political institution of the Washington Swamp. Trump should have aimed to have a "hopelessly partisan" person in the job to protect himself. Whoever was pulling Obama's strings was smart to put Holder and Lynch in there.

Who did Trump have? He had Jeff Sessions. Even though Trump was completely innocent, he barely survived the coup attempt.

Among many others I'm sure, I appreciate your opinion. There is a difference now though that barely ever existed when Sessions held the post. Perhaps Trump should have Barr replace Rosenstein with someone much less DC insider first, and then fire Barr.

He could say he picked his teeth during cabinet meetings, I can't stand that!
