They can pay more without the government imposing a wealth tax. No one is standing in their way.
I’ve heard there is a process in place, if you want to give gifts to the government. You can give a gift and designate it to help pay down the national debt. Perhaps you can designate it to go to specific programs. Whatever the case, these people can voluntarily pay more. They don’t have to wait for a tax to be levied on them.
1/10 of 1% - No problem! It’ll never change. We know that government is not voracious, not greedy, not rapacious and is always satisfied with the tribute we send to it and manages our Danegeld payments wisely.
Why, just look at Social Security. In, 1935, the original Social Security contribution rate was 1 percent of pay and it was promised to never be increased.
As soon as you open Pandora’s Box of a “wealth tax,” we are royally screwed. It doesn’t matter one iota how small the initial tax it. It will grow and grow and grow until it consumes us all.
After all, there are another 5 billion people around the world who want to move the the U.S. and we need to pay for their travel, food, housing, schooling and medical care.
Yes.
Or fund actual charities. (Not the seditious front groups they fund now which pose as charities)
I’m having an intense attack of conscience, and it’s telling me that you need to pay more taxes.

Gifts to the U.S. Government
How do I make a contribution to the U.S. government?
Citizens who wish to make a general donation to the U.S. government may send contributions to a specific account called “Gifts to the United States.”
This account was established in 1843 to accept gifts, such as bequests, from individuals wishing to express their patriotism to the United States. Money deposited into this account is for general use by the federal government and can be available for budget needs.
These contributions are considered an unconditional gift to the government. Financial gifts can be made by check or money order payable to the United States Treasury and mailed to the address below.
Gifts to the United States
U.S. Department of the Treasury
Funds Management Branch
P.O. Box 1328
Parkersburg, WV 26106-1328
Any tax-related questions regarding these contributions should be directed to the Internal Revenue Service at 800-829-1040.
Ok billionaire boys... money talks, bull$hit walks.
Lets see some billion dollar checks hit the treasury.
Put your money where your mouth is.
Lead by example.
We are waiting...
Stop giving tax write offs for ‘charities’ and ‘foundations’ and all the other crap liberal elites use the scam the country... and the ‘problem’ of them having too much money and power will go away on it’s own.
That would be the media owned by these very same billionaires, yes?
Can’t wait for the next “speaking truth to power” segment.
“They can pay more without the government imposing a wealth tax. No one is standing in their way.”
It’s my understanding that the IRS will return excess funds, but I’m not sure about state tax collection.
These people should be made to release their tax returns to prove that they aren't taking any deductions, or using any tax shelters.
The wealthy use government to pay the taxes to support charities they used to fund themselves. The Uber rich don’t make a profit, they just control a foundation that owns what we call possessions. They live in mansions paying One Dollar a month in rent, the foundation writes it off. Everything is an expense, all profits go into the different types of shelters to hide them from taxation.
That’s not their conscience speaking, it’s their left-wing agenda.
The conscience is like the standard equipment on a car.
It is given by God to every human being and reflects his laws, rules and desires for our life and NOT our foolish emotionally driven political agendas.
I will bet any amount you choose that Soros has already managed to insulate the vast bulk of his wealth from whatever tax is proposed.
He will signal virtue while acting like a pig.
There is NOTHING holding these people back from giving the government more money. NOTHING! Instead, they trust the fools will think they are somehow so benevolent. When instead they are malevolent.
Why does Warren Buffett and Bill Gates hide their money in charitable trusts before they call for higher taxes on the rich? It’s as if they are kicking the rungs out of the ladder behind them.
Why pay more dollars to the U.S. Treasury? Virtue signalling works just fine.
Take ALL of soros’ money.
Then that would mean the were telling the truth and you know how that works for those people.
That’s why they have the most freezer money next to a congressman.
People who INHERITED their wealth can be a charitable as they wish——
However, they have no right to suggest that those who EARNED their money should be taxed to the same extent.
IF Warren Buffett would pay all of his back taxes, it would put a dent into the National debt.
The top earners already pay the bulk of taxes paid in this country. Those skills are PORTABLE. They can take those abilities elsewhere & avoid this kind of confiscatory tax.
The article says that the wealthy, top .001 of .01, should be proud to pay a bit more, imagine how proud they could be if they were forced to pay a lot more.
