We’ve given up the NFL, but we love college football and this year we have more terrible calls that have affected the outcomes of games. You almost think there is something crooked going on.

The only hands to the face on one of the videos was done by Green Bay to the player on Detroit that was flagged.
Only the Lions can lose a chance for a first round draft pick by winning the last game of the season in a cellar dwelling championship game........sheesh!

No more reviews. Put two officials in the booth with authority, when unanimous, to make or overturn ANY call. Get rid of coaches’ reviews entirely.

Thanks. The conspiracy theory on the radio today is that the NFL actually likes the negative publicity. They want us talking about the games all week while they bury the MLB postseason. Made me think.
The NFL sure doesn’t want anyone talking about Kapernick, or Trump, or Hong Kong.
Talk about the commercials. The guys on the field are just filler between commercials.

As a Cowboys fan I have been amazed how we can pay a billion dollars a year for payroll for a team but they can barely if ever make it to the playoffs.

Refs are controlling the outcomes to manage ratings for the NFL.
I watched the cowboys lose to the Jets and there was a clear key play where Jets committed delay of game. Commentators said nothing.

Refs stole the game from the Lions. I saw it with my own eyes and I like the Packers.
Pro Rugby has a person called the TMO—television match official. If a play is questionable the field ref talks to the TMO and they decide the right call. It seems to take less time than comparable NFL/MLB. They can even go back and determine if a player committed a foul (like say a high tackle) even if it wasn’t called on the field at the time it occurred. Rugby has one referee on the field and two sideline judges who are now called assistant refs.
I also like the ref actually talks to the players. Warns them if they are getting ready to commit a foul and explaining calls that have been made. Coaches don’t get to call for the TMO, the ref makes the call, but they seem to want to make the right calls.
