Facebook Inc said on Saturday that it had removed an ad which falsely claimed that U.S. Republican Senator Lindsey Graham supported the Green New Deal, demonstrating that it will fact-check ads from political groups but not politicians.
The ad, which ran on Friday, was put up as a stunt by a left-leaning Political Action Committee, or PAC, called The Really Online Lefty League, to test Facebook’s political ad policies.
Facebook has been criticized in recent weeks over its decision to not fact-check ads run by politicians, drawing ire from Democratic candidates running in the 2020 presidential election such as former Vice President Joe Biden and Senator Elizabeth Warren.

Facebook should not be determining what is fact or fiction. They should openly say so.
They are not God. They cannot do this. That is the whole purpose of the First Amendment.
There is no authority to pre-emptively say this political thing is fact or not.
At worst, the courts should decide egregious cases such as this.

Well they’re not going to get an atta boy from me. Suckerberg is still a POS to me. He’s just posing as a fair arbiter who doesn’t have an axe to grind but will be just as leftist as ever and put the kibosh on right-leaning posters.
It was probably put up by a Freeper troll, because Graham is doing very well right now in defending Trump against this insanely illegal, on the fly “process” the Dems have generated.
But there are some people here who hate Graham more than they support Trump, so they’ll do anything to destroy Graham without even considering the consequences.
Or maybe they’re Dem trolls, trying to destroy the one person who has emerged as an actual power player, and on top of that, a pro-Trump one (on most but not all issues), in the formerly dead Senate?
Graham has not done anything substantive.
He’s posturing for re-election purposes.
He is still fully committed to amnesty for illegal aliens.
He does not side with the citizens and the rule of law.
He wants to give the Democrats a permanent majority.

If Facebook would allow dissenting viewpoints, then people could make up their own minds and not rely on a big brother entity.... hmmmm
