Kentucky, Be Careful What You Wished For!
My fertile mind | 28 June 2019 | Fightin Kentuckian

Posted on 11/12/2019 2:52:29 PM PST by fightin kentuckian

The election of Beshear has been eating at me. It shouldn't have happened, and now that it has a lot of voters, teachers, and teachers unions in the commonwealth are feeling pretty smug with themselves. But they shouldn't because this is one of those, "be careful what you wish for" lessons.

Here is what I'm talking about: Gov Bevin was a great advocate for individual liberty in the commonwealth. Bevin fought for the 2nd Amendment rights to protect yourselves and got constitutional carry passed, over the objections of Beshear. Gov. Bevin fought for your 1st Amendment rights and was able to get the Bible back into the class room, over the objections of Beshear. Gov Bevin fought for the right of every Kentuckian to have a job and got Right to Work passed, over the objections of Beshear. Gov Bevin was a huge coal advocate and worked night an day to improve the coal industry, over the objections of Beshear. Gov Bevin DID in fact, fix the teachers pension system with as little pain as possible and It really was a very well thought out bill, however Beshear got one of his buddies in a robe to throw it out on a technicality. And one other biggie, Gov Bevin fought tooth and nail to protect the rights of unborn children, over the objection of Beshear.

You many not realize that everyone of those freedoms had already existed at one time in Kentucky, but over time, they were taken away by legislators like Beshear. It took a strong, principled Republican like Bevin to lead that charge and fight to get those liberties back in less than four years.

The fact that those liberties were taken away once means that they can be taken away again, and I'll bet my bottom dollar that the dimocrart gov will do his best to take them away like he tried when he as the Atty General.

You voted for Beshear not because he was better, you voted for Beshear because you were told by ALL of the state media that Bevin was mean. Yep, Bevin was so damn mean that he got the Bible into classrooms, protected unborn babies, restored 2nd Amendment rights, fixed the teachers pension, and protected jobs. What a bastard!

Beshear WILL take away ALL of those and more and you sure as hell know it. You got what you wished for, now choke on it.

The Kentucky election was rigged, and Jeffrey Epstein didn’t kill himself.

Luckily the Kentucky legislature is Republican so the Governor will find obstacles all the way to his liberal utopia.

“Luckily the Kentucky legislature is Republican so the Governor will find obstacles all the way to his liberal utopia.”

You’re forgetting Beshear is a democrat lawyer like Obama and the rest of them. All he has to do is appoint the right judges, judge shop, and make executive order. A dimocrat doesn’t have to deal with representatives elected by the People.

There is no logic in decrying "be careful for what you wish for" when it comes to electing Democrats.

Democrats have RUINED California, yet there has been no revolt at the ballot box. Indeed, Democrats leave California because of the high taxes and regulation, then settle in a rural Republican state, only to KEEP voting Dem!!!

It’s kind of weird in Kentucky. A lot of people who consider themselves conservative republicans hated Bevin because the media really played up every little fault and told them that Bevin hated them, and they bought it. It really is as simple as that. They let their hate of Bevin over ride their common sense and sense of survival. They let the democrats play them.

Bevin was fixing the teacher’s pensions for the long term. Beshear and the union’s plan is to come to the Republican house, senate, you and me to keep funneling cash down that rat hole. Think again dumb a$$ teachers.

The same algorithm used to elect the lesbo in AZ, and candidates in CA, among others in that particular election was used (with Bevin-hating Cocaine Mitch’s blessing) last week. The Kentucky voters (close to Arizona and Utah voters in stupidity) have, once again, failed to pull their heads out of their collective asses and demand proper voting procedures. And once again, Trump has failed to lead ANY charge against voter fraud. He will lose in 2020, barring any dramatic developments/surprises mark my words.

It’s not complicated.

Bevin tried to reform the totally failed state pension system. A sacred cow.

Beshear promised to keep the goodies coming forever - mathematical realities be damned. I’m guessing the public employees voted about 98% for Beshear because they are greedy and stupid - especially the teachers.

Our saving grace is that Stumbo didn’t get the AG job. We’d really be in deep guano with those two acting in concert.

It’s my opinion that if Bevin had never attempted to deal with our disaster of a pension system he will still be governor.

I’m not sure but seems Kentucky state judges are elected. Nothing is going to transition fast and we want SCOTUS to see a boat load of cases over the next 5 years. A Kentucky democrat typically would shy away from socialist leanings at least in public.

State houses can almost always stop the alternate party GOV cold and budgets tend to grow only modestly.

From Capitalism to Socialism (Communitarianism, Communism, etc), one vote at a time...

Voters: “Be careful what you wish for; you might get it”...

He “unsaved” the teachers pension fund with a republican gov, senate and house. All he needed was a buddy in a black robe. And just like Obama he’ll get a phone, and a pencil and paper and go to work without the legislature. And the spineless republicans will let him.

State Senates must approve judicial appointments, usually a formality. I hope the Kentucky Senate will take a very close look and reject many.
