Russias Health Ministry announced it will not ban hydroxychloroquine, seen by some as potentially dangerous. The drug, touted by US President Trump, has been suspended for use in treating Covid-19 in France, Italy, and Belgium.
On Thursday, the Russian Health Ministry stated on its website that hydroxychloroquines effectiveness and safety in the treatment of coronavirus is continually being monitored, but the ministry is not taking any steps towards outlawing it. This decision is in sharp contrast to moves made by some European countries which, due to safety concerns, have completely stopped the prescription of the drug to fight the coronavirus.
Several drugs are used to treat patients with Covid-19, a ministry statement said. Among these drugs is hydroxychloroquine, which, due to its anti-inflammatory effect and effect on the immune system, has been used for decades to treat malaria, rheumatoid arthritis, and systemic lupus erythematosus.
According to the Health Ministry, recommendations to use HCQ have come from various foreign studies confirming its effectiveness, and it has been included in several national and international clinical guidelines, including in Russia. As it stands, Russian doctors are able to give the drug to patients who provide informed consent, taking into account potential side effects and risk factors.
According to the results of monitoring the safety of hydroxychloroquine drugs during the Covid-19 pandemic in the Russian Federation, there were no fatal outcomes associated with rhythm disturbance in patients with HCQ, the ministry said.

collusion!
Indeed, collusion. More evidences of the. Trump/Putin cabal / sarc
Clearly the drug works , theres really no debate about it , and the fact that this stupid ass WHO tries to ban it is laughable
WHO worthless whores of oppression!
They can take this drug because, it: works as advertised, is well-known and understood, is safe when used as prescribed and its cheap!
And ... they probably dont benefit politically or profit monetarily from the lockdown pandemic of fear and the necessary high death toll like some curiously do.
Gotta have numbers and optics to keep up the fear and pull off this scam just a bit longer, doncha know.
Russia also has much lower income taxes.
Which is a freer country: Russia or California?
One thing that I trust the Russians to do is to act in their own self-interest. Thus, when they refuse to ban HCQ, and the Israelis (who are not known for screwing around when the safety of their not numerous citizens is at stake) do the same, I assume it is because HCQ actually works. If there was literally no other evidence than what those 2 nations are doing, thatt would be enough for me...but there very clearly IS lots of other evidence.
I still stand by my long-standing position that if I or a member of my family gets this thing, I will DEMAND that the doc prescribe HCQ, azithromycin and zinc - and if the doc refuses, he or she will get their ass fired on the spot and be replaced by someone who will do what is necessary to ensure the quickest possible recovery.
In the meantime, and in the absence of HCQ being available OTC, I am taking Quercetin with zinc (after a meal, because zinc WILL make you sick on an empty stomach). Quercetin is, like HCQ, a zinc ionophore - it opens the cellular pathway that allows zinc to enter the cell, and it then largely prevents the virus from reproducing. From what I have read, you need about 1000 mg of Quercetin daily to do what 400 mg of HCQ will do. The HCQ is better - not just more efficient, but it has other anti-viral effects that Quercetin doesn’t, but it is certainly head-and-shoulders better than doing nothing. FYI, Quercetin has no known side-effects at doses of up to 1000 mg/day for up to 12 weeks.
The study was basically aborted by a thumbs-down from the French government, on the basis of that criminally incompetent Lancet study.
He finds the famous Lancet study so faulty that it should never have been published...
