Lori Loughlin sentenced to two months for college admissions scandal

Former “Full House” TV star Lori Loughlin was sentenced to two months in jail Friday for admittedly conspiring to pay a half-million-dollar bribe to get her two daughters into the University of Southern California as fake rowing recruits.

A federal judge in Boston OK’d the plea deal for Loughlin, 55, who was implicated with designer husband Mossimo Giannulli in the nationwide college admissions scandal.

Giannulli had been sentenced earlier Friday before the same judge and will serve five months behind bars.

The couple were accused of paying $500,000 to scheme mastermind Rick Singer to falsely portray their daughters, social media “influencer” Olivia Jade Giannulli, 20, and Isabella Rose Giannulli, 21, as talented rowing crew athletes — even though neither of them ever participated in the sport.

As part of the pair’s sentences, Loughlin — an actress best known for portraying the wholesome “Aunt Becky” on the sitcom “Full House” in the late 1980s to the mid-1990s — will pay a $150,000 fine and perform 100 hours of community service.

The Italian-born Giannulli — founder of the multimillion-dollar clothing brand “Mossimo” — will pay a $250,000 fine and serve 250 hours of community service.

Their sentencings bring to a close the celebrity couple’s galling, made-for-TV legal drama, for which they’d faced a decade or more in jail had they lost at trial.

When do Hillary Clinton, James Comey, Clapper, Brennan or Schiff who committed far more serious crimes go to prison?

Meanwhile political crimes go ignored.

As do the multi-million dollar damage done by the rioters.

Wonder what the kids think?
They should have gone to UNC where the SAT was canceled.

Why did he receive a much more harsh sentence than the mom?

Not to mention the assaults, the intimidation, the extortion, the intimidation by the “protestors” aka Brownshirts

I think is interesting that parents are being prosecuted for bribing universities to admit their children, but where are the prosecutions of those universities that are receiving those bribes?

An actress and a fashion designer.

Two people that live/work in Dream Land, so ‘designing’ fake lives for their kids seems normal.

So, are they out the initial $500,000, too? *SNORT*

As others have said - so much effort for a dumb little crime like this, when ‘She Who Shall Not Be Named’ is still roaming at large, planning and scheming...

Why did she get less time than her husband? Wasn’t she the one more involved in the whole scheme, pushing the girls to lie?

Next time she needs to burn down the college, claim racism and all is forgiven.

If she had “donated” the money to the school the bribe would’ve been legal. I still don’t see what she did as deserving of anything more than public ridicule and embarrassment. If her kid couldn’t get in on ability then she’s not doing him or her any favors.

They didn't bribe the universities. That's the problem. They bribed the tennis coach. They didn't pay off the right people. They didn't give donations in a manner that would've let the people at the top skim their fair share of the graft.

Meanwhile those that run the universities get to stay out of jail and enjoy their several hundred thousand dollar salaries and perks and continue to solicit bribes.
