Observers noted that Amy Coney Barrett responded to hours of questioning on judicial matters with only a blank notepad in front of her.

CORNYN: “You know, most of us have multiple notebooks, notes and books and things like that in front of us. Can you hold up what you’ve been referring to in answering our questions? Is there anything on it?”

BARRETT: “The letterhead that says United States Senate.”

When asked to hold up what she's been using to help answer questions, Judge Amy Coney Barrett holds up a blank notepad.

Yes, she's THAT smart.

Besides being brilliant and conservative, when was the last time there was such an attractive female supreme Court justice?

Anyone that hasn’t seen her today as she was brilliantly stumping Dianne Feinstein has really missed out. Go check it out while you can.

Well thank God you didn’t add any pictures of the dem justices :-)

I just took a peek and Sandra was quite attractive when she was very young.

But Amy is 48 and she looks great.

Have you forgoteen Kagan?

Kidding! Anyway, one SCOTUS confirmation thing of the past that sticks with me was Kagan's confirmation. The press kept referring to her nomination as 'historic' but never said why, exactly. I mean, there were already jewish justices, and women. RBG in fact was still on the bench and she was both. So what was it about Kagan that was so historic? Hmmmm? They wouldn't say, but they kept harping how historic it was. Feel free to fill in the blanks.

That was the purpose of Cornyn’s question. It was to show the dims that they were outmatched, an the TV viewers that she is a brilliant woman, mother and jurist being attacked by idiots reading from notes provided by researchers, lobbyists and activists.

And yet today, susan collins couldn't find a reason to vote yes on confirmation other than it is bad timing.

Right collins, we wouldn't want anyone that accomplished immediately confirmed, it might cost you votes when what really should matter is you doing your job as an elected official.

I wonder if she using that notepad to write down all of the intelligent things that the senators said today. That would explain why it is blank.

Ah!!!!!!

I had to look her up. That’s a face only a mother can love.

Maybe it was historical because she was the hardest person to look at in supreme Court history.

Anyway I try not to hide my faults here :-)

I did not know she was a supreme Court Justice, to my embarrassment.

My memory isn’t what it was but I didn’t recall breyer either until I saw the eight current justices.

So with Barrett becoming a supreme court justice, the court will be in our favor five and a half to three and a half.
