Through plain speaking and twitter and rallies Donald Trump has reinvented the presidential relationship with the people.
Feminist accusations of crimes (including unwanted hugging and kissing) which would have destroyed almost anyone elses career have not touched him. This is a robust not a staid conservatism.
It is hard to imagine someone emerging in the post Trump era with all the political strengths Trump has shown. But the need for conservatism to adjust to new demographics seems undeniable to me. Otherwise a permanent leftist Democrat majority in America is unavoidable.
Huge numbers of women are unlikely to retreat to being housewives without careers.
How will the future of conservatism differ from the past?
Will there be more Annie Oakleys in our future?
Since she was a woman she was called a trick shooter whereas a guy would be called a marksman.
We have Michelle Malkin.
I think exhibition shooter covers both. They did things that defy marksmanship, IMO.
True but she was always called a trick shooter rather than a marksman like they call guys.
There were sometimes elements of deceit in the exhibitions...shot loads in revolvers gave a better chance at a hit. Regardless, her name is now synonymous with the sport. Ask most people who Ed McGivern was and youll get a blank stare.
He’s reverting back to his childhood days not a good sign the end nears.
He wrote the book Fast and Fancy Revolver Shooting.
