In an essay in the liberal UK broadsheet The Guardian, multiple authors chart out the most important task for the incoming Biden administration: to “restore the faith in science.”
“Joe Biden’s most important promise to the American people was a policy platform taken for granted prior the Trump presidency: believe science,” the article suggests, adding that “Restoring trust in science will not be simple after four years of lies, half-truths, misdirections and conspiracy theories.”
Days later, the academic journal Nature was under pressure from a concerted effort because it dared to publish a paper showing that “increasing the proportion of female mentors is associated not only with a reduction in post-mentorship impact of female protégés, but also a reduction in the gain of female mentors.”
Why are those two instances important? Because lately, oblivious to the internal contradictions, a section of the elite is determined to restore faith and trust in a somewhat religious idea of “science” as long as the conclusions adhere to a Whiggish liberal worldview.
Conversely, it is also that same section of elites that are opposed to any scientific conclusions that contradict their worldview. That makes this whole charade a sort of faith-based activism, where the definition of “science” is somewhat of a mystery.

The ‘experts’
As many (typically non scientists) feel the need to virtue signal ‘science is real’ but the problem is that not all scientists or their touts are genuine.
Uh, scientists themselves who become agenda driven in the never ending quest for government funding.
Money.
When funding is tied to favorable results for the donors, there is no science.
The loss of faith in science is caused by political correctness that seeped into the field .
Science used to be immune from political ideology. Data is data or used to be.
Once scientists selectively started picking data to make outcomes match their left wing political views; science became corrupted.

The Left’s nature corrupts everything it touches, be it the Constitution, traditional religion or, in this case, science.
In every case they cherry-pick those parts which suite them, modify other parts into conformity and ignore often huge swaths which just can’t be corrupted.
The Left doesn’t respect science, only those parts which can be weaponized against political opponents.
Like calling it science when a man wakes up one day and thinks he is a woman?
The same people who stopped teaching real science in favor of politically correctness.
All this “ we must follow the science” is getting old. The three giant murder cults or the last 100 years were the Nazis, American eugenics, and soviet communists. All had “we are only following pure science” as their mantra.
There is a reason why we aren’t governed by a central science committee.

What, pray tell, does any of that have to do with application of the scientific method?
And has Biden’s documented 47 years of lies held back scientific development?
To claim that science is settled on any topic is a lie. Settled science used to be the earth was flat and the Germans were the master race.
It is the loss of faith and belief in God.
Those who oppose God do not believe in Truth and thus their opinions become their false truth.
The general loss of faith in science is a direct result of scientists’ loss of faith in God.
I’ve seen geneticists argue whether the concept of a ‘gene’ really exists, and it was a civil conversation. If anyone questioned whether ‘climate change’ was possibly not man made they were considered ‘a lone nut.’
The people who call “science” anything that allows them to impose their will on people they hate.
Scientists.
Science is not a religion, and faith or lack thereof has nothing to do with how reproducible the results are when the various hypotheses are tested.
REAL science is never settled, because previously unknown (or overlooked) facts keep popping up and destroying the earlier hypothesis.
And facts are sometimes troublesome things.
