If old Ahab had taken Naboth’s vineyard for a vegetable garden to feed the poor of Samaria what we call being Woke would demand its adherents to condemn Naboth even while proverbially standing at the foot of his premature grave and also for them to praise Ahab. Why? Because In that alternate universe version of the story Naboth was not pursuing equity.
