Under the supreme command of General Douglas MacArthur, my father faced Japanese bullets on the beach of Balikpapan in 1945 and saw some of his friends die.
He volunteered for this service because he did not want imperial Japanese totalitarianism to threaten Australia.
His father-in-law, Reverend Ralph Blanchard, subsequently campaigned strongly for the United Nations and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. With that document the world came together to try to put an end to totalitarian abuses.
But in 2021 in The West, the unborn have no right to life, anti white racism is a fashionable game, religious faith can lead to persecution as in the case of the imprisonment of Cardinal George Pell for false allegations about his conduct on a day when what he really did was to conduct a mass and feminism persecutes men.
What went wrong?
Can the spirit of WW2 be revived?
Times change, people don't.
Regards,
Are you Australian? Although under MacArthur’s command, the Australians seized Balikpapan.
Suggest you don’t read it if you don’t like it……
How would he know if he likes it or not unless he reads it?
Alexander means well.
To me, the takeaway concerns totalitarianism.
Assuming you’re not blowing a gasket, I’d give the rewrite a try providing Alexander is willing to follow up.
BTW, interesting history. Thanks for sharing.
Please don’t ask logical questions at 3AM.
FWIW, abortion was one of the “crimes against humanity” for which Nazis were hung. Now celebrities encourage young murderers to “shout your abortion”.
The Axis lost WWII; the Nazis won.
We have to pass read the bill article to find out what's in it...
