THIS explains all of the help wanted signs that don’t go away. Lazy ****s! The best place to be is in a job and looking for a better job. That way you don’t have to worry about money.
that's not anti-capitalist AT ALL. If you don't want to sell your labor, or you feel the price is too low - that's great, don't do it. Its just freedom.
But expecting to live off the labor of others, particularly enforced by government - that's definitely not capitalism, nor freedom.
What’s new??. All through my career, 10% of the workers did 90% of the work. Best time of my working life was when I finally got to where I could FIRE the slackers!
Antiwork moderator Doreen Ford says that movement is a major snub towards capitalism.
"Doreen"
24 years at my job...I’m an idler now lol...cause they stuff wokeness down our throats....milking them til retirement...suckers! Ps union jobs are great I’d have to kill someone to get fired cause they’re so desperate for people. We got them by the balls.
The great resignation is fueled by those unwilling to bend to people trying to force them into taking an experimental, toxic jab.
These losers never had a job and are afraid of a job.
My main takeaway is "this is Capitalism working precisely as expected".
People value their lives and are unwilling to let others rent significant portions of them cheaply.
One of the youtubes under that category included screenshots of articles written by people utterly amazed that offering better pay and benefits completely erased their labor difficulties.
tl/dr:
Employers rent my life. Sometimes, the rent goes up. Pay it, or get "evicted".
In the last 20 years of working in telecommunications and retail, I have found this to be true. There were people who were constantly absent, sleeping, coming in late, but writing themselves in early, and taking 4 hour lunch breaks, and leaving for the entire day. I would have to take up the slack for years, and the boss would feign amazement when I said what was going on, but nothing was ever done. They were afraid of a lawsuit or claims of discrimination.
OMG!
One wonders if group projects are educations way of preparing youth for “diversity”.
