I just read a thread on NextDoor that it is connected to Facebook. No idea at all if that is true or not. That being said, I live in MoCo so yeah... NextDoor is a liberal wet dream. I only use it for the emergency stuff... you know, the increase in car thefts, assaults, armed robberies, etc... in my area. Other than that... it is a waste.
Reddit is a liberal chat room.
I’ve been suspended several times the last year on ND. Since our whole region is liberalland, that doesn’t surprise me. But it really stepped up in the last 2 years, where COVID and “the election” are OFFICIALLY part of their rules. One recent thread a “colored” lady posted about her scary experience with a (I think crazy) man stalking her and her husband around the lake. People asked for descriptions and some even posted men they wondered if could be the same. She mentioned maybe he was Hispanic. Oh boy. Several had to jump on her for daring to mention anything like that. I defended it as did a couple others. People are insane these days.
But the thing is, I haven’t been touched by FaceBook.
Don’t get me wrong….they have that “election” and “COVID” stuff self-righteously flagged all the time.
But I have never been even suspended. Once before the election I had a post removed because it was that video of the Trump train in TX hounding the Biden bus - I just happened to see a thread on it and commented. Other than that, nothing. All blowback I’ve had was comment directly from the snowflakes who didn’t like what I posted, not banning.
Easily can say the same of YouTube.
I saw a thread a few weeks ago that made my blood boil. A neighbor had posted a ring video of two men “trying” car doors (to see if they were unlocked) around 2 a.m. The thread took a beyond liberal-stupid turn when a few people remarked that perhaps “these men are hungry, poor and are looking for spare change to feed themselves”. Wow. And yes... I believe the only reason it was said was because the men were “Amish”. That being said, an obvious neighbor with more conservative values with regards to criminality and law enforcement remarked that if they were hungry, they could simply fill bags of steak, lobster etc and walk out of the local grocery stores (which is occurring here as well). We live in stupid times!
Yes, it still has a very long waitlist but I finally got in a couple days ago and it's a breath of fresh air.
I gave up on Reddit a few years back. I had been on some Reddits that had absolutely nothing to do with politics that were hobbies of mine like Christmas music and hiking/camping. I never brought politics up in those places either.
But as soon as I joined "theDonald" Reddit, I was shunned and shadow-banned on those other Reddits.
I refuse to be part of any social media platform that practices Orwellian tactics. My Facebook and Twitter accounts are disabled as well.
Print, frame and hang the rejections on your wall as conservative trophies. Congratulations.
I guess that would be ok. Except it would be SOOO easy to get lots of awards! And I only have 2.
I’m glad I have not yet seen any of that reaction here. We’ve had quite a few cases of people posting how their cars were jiggled etc. actually I find it odd how these prima Donna’s rail about “hate has no home here” (that was a major thread) but boy are they quick to put up any video showing someone “suspicious”! That included a man in my moms neighborhood, probably going around soliciting. Boy the theories they had about him!
Although the other month we did have a thread about an Italian race car that was stolen and the holier-than-thous did start to pop out. “Should’ve put your car in the garage”, “can’t feel sorry for guy with so much money”, etc.
If you really like punishment go to r/politics. These people are insane. Hell just about any Christianity sub on reddit is apostate.

One insisted he had direct knowledge that the drinking water had fecal matter that was sickening the convoyers.
I WAS boots on the ground the day before and put his little stories down as lies. The covidiot refused to believe me.
