Tucker Carlson: Invoke 25th Amendment to remove Biden from power
Washington Examiner ^ | March 29th, 2022 | Daniel Chaitin

Fox News host Tucker Carlson flipped President Joe Biden's off-script comment over the weekend that Russian President Vladimir Putin cannot remain in power to argue in favor of removing the commander in chief from office.

The top-rated cable news personality advocated invoking the 25th Amendment after Biden appeared to break with his own White House on messaging regarding Russia's war in Ukraine. What really spooked Carlson was the uncertainty hanging over whether Biden actually wants regime change in Moscow after the president told reporters "nobody believes" he was "talking about taking down Putin" moments after insisting he wasn't walking back his statement that Putin should not remain in power.

"The joke is over. Too much is at stake. If there ever was a time — if there was in U.S. history ever a time to invoke the 25th Amendment, it is now. As Joe Biden himself put it, 'For God's sake, this man cannot remain in power.' For all of our sakes," Carlson said on his show Monday

Not until the GOP controls the House!

We need to be able to then Impeach Harris, then elevating the GOP Speaker (Trump?).

I think the 2nd amendment would be better.

It is the genius of Brandon to nominate a much more inappropriate person than he to be his VP...

Short of an act of divine intervention, we’re screwed until January 2025.

Tucker was probably the first serious TV commentator that drew attention to Brandon's feeble demented mind. He was playing clips before the nomination process finished, we all remember those, when Biden was not on a tight leash and was bumbling badly almost daily.

Tucker went on to say he's finished, no way he could win the nomination. I agreed at the time, Brandon was noticeably cognitively impaired even back then.

But then the field leaders were all worse, if you can imagine that. So they wanted the safe bet, someone they could control, and alas we got Biden, his dementia and all.

Even though Harris would step in, I’ve come to the conclusion that it wouldn’t matter in the final analysis. The Dems would be on record as having willfully put forward an incompetent, highly unqualified person who couldn’t complete even half of his term. Their condemnation of Trump would collapse in comparison.

Let them own this.

You are assuming that no VP would be confirmed prior to the Harris impeachment?

Which will never happen. You think the GOP is ever going to hold 67 senate seats, much less 67 seats not occupied by RINO's?

“For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power.”

I saw the video. Brandon was clearly speaking about Putin.

I thought Brandon was talking about Putin. He spoke in very clear measured words that any child can understand, in fact.

A person who cannot be trusted to say what he means in time of War and Peace must not be in a leadership position.

The walk-back of what Brandon said is the most garish gaslighting yet seen from the Marxist Brandon Junta. Their problem is that the demented one says the quiet part out loud. Expect them to ease him out after this colossal gaffe-fest in Europe by Brandon.

I don’t know why people on both sides of the political spectrum, left and right, don’t seem to understand that the 25th Amendment simply isn’t a viable way to remove someone from power.

Has anyone actually read it?

“Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.”

So lets say that the following all happen:

1. The VP and a majority of the cabinet all agree that the President is unable to discharge his duties.

2. The President just sends a letter back that says he is able to discharge the duties.

3. Then the VP and cabinet disagree again and send a letter to Congress.

4. It then takes 2/3rds of a vote in BOTH Houses to agree that the President can’t discharge his duties.

IMPEACHMENT is easier.

Does anyone with a single brain cell think that 2/3rds of both Houses are going to vote to remove Xiden?

If they wait until Biden gets just over 2 years in office then Harris gets a potential 10 year bite at the apple.

IF he has to go it HAS to be before that. We’d be stuck with that laughing hyena for less than two years and she’d never get the nomination from her party to get elected in 2024. Hard choice and some very hard ramifications, though.

Does Carlson really expect the Cabinet of Freaks to remove the chief Biden?
Heck, he’s the most ‘normal’ one of the lot...

I agree... to reach such a high bar the Executive would have to be nearly completely incoherent or physically incapacitated beyond all hope. I suspect we might see Jill Biden behaving a lot like Mrs Wilson after Woodrow’s stroke...

No.
Besides, when you look at Biden’s VP and Cabinet, he’s the most normal one of the lot. The Executive Branch under Biden is a Freak Show.
