I'm a redneck from the Bible Belt, and I have never understood, and never will understand, the link between whiteness and chrstianity (which after all, claims to be a universal religion).
Poor Bible-thumping rednecks have much more in common with poor blacks than they have ever or will ever have with white Catholics, Orthodox, or liberal Protestants. Why does chrstianity not "count" unless it's "white?" Why can't this "universal" religion cross the color line? Why is ethnicity so much more important than what one believes about A-mighty G-d???
If the conventional story of chrstianity's origins is true, I don't see "white nationalism" being a big part of it back in the early centuries. When chrstians were persecuted by the state and made up of almost every ethnicity under the sun the idea of "white chrstian nationalism" simply could not have existed.
When did chrstianity become the identitarian religion of white people? When did chrstians of other ethnicities cease to "count" as chrstians???
If white Fundamentalist Protestants hadn't spent two hundred years hating black Fundamentalist Protestants there would be no racial issue for the Left to exploit.
