Dismantle the D.C. Company Town
American Greatness ^ | 4 June 2022 | Roger Kimball

Posted on 06/05/2022 5:36:07 AM PDT by Rummyfan

It’s time that Americans faced up to the reality that their governing apparat is a corrupt, self-engorging Leviathan.

Gertrude Stein famously warned that it was important to know how far to go when going too far.

It pains me to admit that Democrats seem to have a far better sense of all that than do Republicans. Perhaps it’s because Democrats have a visceral appreciation of William Hazlitt’s observation that “those who lack delicacy hold us in their power.” The Democrats, that is to say, long ago became expert at the game of holding their opponents to standards that they themselves violate not just with impunity but with ostentatious glee.

The news last week that Michael Sussmann was found not guilty by a D.C. jury of his ideological peers was another thumb in the eye of the American so-called system of justice. Scary-looking super-cop John Durham had indicted Sussmann for the same thing that brought down Trump’s flash-in-the-pan National Security Advisor Mike Flynn—lying to the FBI—but no one who has been paying attention thought the two men would be treated the same way. Flynn was close to Donald Trump, therefore he must be considered a sacrificial beast, someone to be made an example of, a pariah. And so he was.

Navarro is not so lucky. He lives next to the FBI building. They could have simply asked him to drop by. He would have showed up. But that would not have been sufficiently dramatic. Instead, our geheime Staatspolizei apprehended him while he was boarding a plane. They slapped the 72-year-old man in handcuffs and leg irons and threw him into a cell once occupied, they were careful to tell him, by John Hinckley, the lunatic who shot Ronald Reagan in 1981. The timeline here deserves our attention. On May 31, Navarro sued the January 6 committee and the DOJ. On June 3, he was arrested and arraigned. Unlike Eric Holder, who merely scoffed at the contempt judgment, Navarro faces up to two years in prison and a $200,000 fine.

It's because RINOs and their lickspittle Sunday News so-called conservative fan bois are more comfortable with second-tier power and the scraps that Democrats throw to them to maintain that loyal-but-not-too-vocal 'opposition facade' than do the real work supporting those Americans with whom they profess the same ideals.

They live in a rarified, cloistered world of "my good friends across the aisle" social events, appearances on TV where the MSM doesn't single them out and they can go out and spend $100 every night for sushi-and-shit at the local DC "been seen" show place.

They live in a false world where gas prices, grocery prices, utility/energy costs and all the other real world matters impact Americans they know nothing about except lies and deceit don't affect them.

They wouldn't know REAL America if it bit them on the butt.

Remember when Trump sent the Bureau of Land Management from DC to Colorado and DC USDA Research to Kansas City?
DC was not happy.

The Judicial system is corrupt.
The Election system is corrupt.
The Legislative system is corrupt.
The News system is corrupt.
The Health Care system is corrupt.
The Law Enforcement (FBI, et al) system is corrupt.

We are now at the point where only the 2A can save our Constitutional Republic.

To paraphrase Josef Stalin...
“2A is the solution to all problems."

Washington DC must be COMPLETELY DISMANTLED. The ONLY way to do that is to move the BASIC government functions to another locale.

Here we go again. Just remember Chuckie Schumer’s “They can get back at you” comment. Chuckie’s smarter than us. Author offers no solution or specifics in his ‘Dismantle’ title.

Use our heads. Hit them from the side-not directly. Confine all government retirement to a $50k limit per year-very populist. How many of us even get a $30k/yr in retirement? Taxpayers get to pay for the government pensions-is anyone not working worth worth more than $50k/yr? All government employees would pay the brice but then would they? Most don’t quit with a big pension so it’s like tax the rich-right? We can learn from the Chuckies out there. Would any government worker quit? Come on!

People who work for the government at any level are very likely to be democrats. Everyone else is more likely to be republican. Government growing means democrats growing.

Move the capital to the geographic center of the continental United States- the middle of Kansas.

Or, even better, move it to the geographic center of ALL the United States, which would be somewhere in the Pacific Ocean.

The first step is moving every executive agency out of DC to multiple states. At least criminal violations they commit will be tried by juries that might convict them.

Abolishing as many as possibl1e to avoid the expense of moving them would be good, too.

They have a cozy little swamp weasel playhouse that must be broken up
