Monday marked day two of Liz Cheney’s Maoist January 6 show trial.
January 6 panel Chairman Bennie Thompson (D-MS) on Monday evening said the committee will not be making criminal referrals to the Justice Department.
"If the Department of Justice looks at it and assumes that there’s something that needs further review. I’m sure they’ll do it,” Thompson said to reporters.
When asked again if the January 6 committee would ever make a criminal referral “No, that’s not our job. Our job is to look at the facts and circumstances around January 6, what caused it and make recommendations after that.”

Liz Cheney threw a tantrum after Rep. Thompson confirmed his committee would never criminally refer President Trump to the Justice Department.
Cheney immediately released a statement contradicting Bennie Thompson.

Wyoming is a nearly all white state. I think Liz is a White Supremacist and therefore DESPISES having the Black Man, Bennie Thompson, being in charge of these hearings. Why else attack the Black Man for a perfectly RATIONAL decision, other than due to the fact that he is black?
It doesn’t take much to see her ABJECT RACISM reeking in her actions.
If the very same dems on this committee would have had the ability to prosecute republicans for treason on evidence as flimsy as they have generated after two years of trying to frame Trump, Liz Cheney’s father would be in his second decade of life imprisonment for war crimes. It just so happens that they weren’t able to catch her father as a war criminal, but they now have the ability to make a stab at Trump. At some level, she has to know this. That is what type of soulless ghoul she is.

That is correct. Mr. Thompson is an honorable and dedicated member of Congress. To challenge him exposes a deeply held prejudice toward black men by Mz Cheney.
The article goes on to explain that Livid Liz may actually get her way whereby the Kangaroo Kommittee might make a criminal referral. Because, ya know, Orange Man is bad and shall never be allowed to run for office ever again and should be in jail, right Liz?
Liz is in Congress, because of her father. She is getting back at Trumpism for their attacks on the Establishment’s foreign policy and brand of Republicanism.
Of course they have nothing on Trump - there is nothing to have. The big take away is that the the Jan 6 Hearing is a flop that the public is not buying. Combine this with revelations that the Russia hoax was a dirty trick by Hillary Clinton, the FBI and the Intelligence community and the public is figuring out that Trump was a great president who was sabotaged by both parties. And they are getting pissed off
you do under stand the FBI investigated this 17 months ago....there nothing to prosecute....

It is inconceivable to me that Garland would not bring charges against Trump in the circumstance of a Jan6 Committee finding of sedition etc..
To quote the bard: “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned”.
Civil War is what an indictment would bring.
