Jean Harlow was a gorgeous babe who captured America's imagination by being sexy and was OK as a comic actress later in her career.
By many accounts she was a kind and intelligent human being.
Her platinum blonde hair was falling out by career's end because of the chemicals which had given her that unique look.
She loved her domineering mother who pushed her to be a star.
She had two abortions. Is show business to blame?
She died of kidney failure.
But did a broken heart because of the abortions contribute to her I'll health?
Was this Hollywood's original sin?
Marilyn Monroe had several, as she was passed around among elitist men. No doubt it contributed to her depression.

In any other profession Harvey Weinstein wouldn’t have gotten within 1000 miles of a beautiful young girl. No loving father would want his daughter involved in it.

You're probably right, but it's worth noting that in February 2017, Barack Obama started his daughter Malia on an internship for Harvey Weinstein at the Weinstein Company film studio in New York City. Many stars of that era had abortions and the Studios had people who would do them. Name a big name female star and there is a good chance they had an abortion. Harlow had some health problems and her Mother was a Christian Scientist, Harlow could have been saved if her Mother had gotten her to a doctor much sooner.
At the time she was dating William Powell and they were going to get married. When she died he spent $50,000 on her funeral and burial.
And unless she was raped it was her choice to become pregnant.
