And now for a parrot joke.
A man bought a parrot who constantly swore, using the most vulgar words possible. The man tried all sorts of bribes to get the parrot to clean up its language. But nothing worked. The parrot kept on swearing.
Finally the man lost his temper, and put the parrot in the freezer for a minute.
When let out, the parrot said, “I am truly sorry for my bad language. I promise you it will never happen again. But let me ask one thing. What did that turkey do?”

LOL! I am sure that if my step-daughter ever gets married, she would prefer that I stayed home with a parrot!

It is a big world.
Some people are nice.
Some people are less nice.
Some people are not nice.
Nice people are nice to have.

According to the stepmother, her stepdaughter rejected her in the past, saying she didn't want to accept someone as a stand-in, "fake" replacement for her biological mother Having read the article, (I know, I know it is not tradition!) I would have to side with the Stepmother.
Stepdaughter has not visited in four years and now suddenly wants a unpaid live in maid, babysitter and wedding gofor.

How rude of her! She is going to regret it later on in life. Just think of all the joy she is going to miss in the future after deliberately refusing to spend time with her grand-child. When you marry someone who already has children, you make a commitment to the children in addition to the spouse, just as you do to any child born to the two of you. Sometime that involves sacrifice on your part.

Why is this news?
My own family got rather... nasty before my wedding. Mainly because the rest of the family might show up.
That being said, it was a wonderful day 20 years ago

An alternative excuse besides "I need to wash my hair", I guess.
She obviously wanted no part of that scene. As I don't know all the particulars, I cannot judge.

If she won’t do it for the stepdaughter, do it for her husband. She is making his life miserable.
