OK FReepers. Is this real or a trick? Some at Twitter say it is trickery
It’s nothing Biden plays the organ until the cash cow comes home.
Big deal. Cows love music.
Forty years ago, with a cello and a synthesizer:
You can find hundreds of videos of cows coming over when they hear someone playing music. They’re not very good dancers but they do seem to appreciate it.
LEAD COW: No let’s check it out. She must be THE ONE to lead the cow rebellion and takeover of earth...
That’s wonderful! What a heart-warming short video. I love the innocence of the little girl and her great skills on the concertina at such a young age.
All the cows are thinking “Oh boy, chow time!!”
We have a little farm near us with a lot of chickens. I always get a laugh out of all of them running up to the fence when I walk by at chow time.
LOLOL...I LOVE it when FReepers remember a classic old Larson cartoon and post it here. There are so many of us who make those quick associations between something today and a classic “Far Side” cartoon from long ago. Those quick memory recalls amaze me. That one you posted is so apropos here! Thanks.
Welding arcs ARE mesmerizing, indeed. I was always surrounded by welding arcs in power plants under construction or renovation, so I had to avert my gaze all the time.
The puddle of liquid metal through welder’s glasses is as mesmerizing, as well.
That Florida band playing for the herd is WONDERFUL! Thanks for posting that, NN.
Glad you enjoyed it! The cattle were jazzed too.
I tried to get my stepdaughter to sing to our neighbor’s cows a few years ago, but she wouldn’t project enough to get their attention.
The Deer in my backyard do the same thing when I shake a big bag of M&M’s
Love that old synthesizer in a wood cabinet. It came with its own CRT display!!! I’ll bet that cost at least $10000-$15,000 back then for Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics.

I used to do a lot of TIG on stainless steel. The ozone and UV light scorches your skin cells. For a day or two you have a weird smell coming off all the dead bacteria, fungus, and skin cells on your body. You may take on a job that’s small with just a hood and not dress out in leathers. Hours later you regret it big-time. Your outer skin goes brown dead a few days later. Hell of a tan though.
Wow, I had no idea about that with TIG welding. Was that a problem only with TIG or other welding as well?
In my early career, I worked in many paper mills with black liquor recovery boilers. The sulfurous stench would permeate your body and clothes and you couldn’t get rid of it. My God, did that stuff stink. Fortunately, I was usually in and out of those plants in a week or a couple months max, so no long-term effects.
Oh this is so cute. I love how she is so delighted by it and turns around to smile at her father about the cows.
Paper guy here too. 40 years in. All bath tissue and facial.
For years I have played music for my cats and dogs. Last night I played If you could read my mind by Gordon Lightfoot, thinking sadly of his passing. My cat was sitting on my lap and the ears turned to the music and she began purring.
