GOP Leader In Florida Pushes Back On NAACP “Travel Advisory”

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – On Monday, the NAACP Board of Directors issued a formal travel advisory for Florida, claiming Governor DeSantis is attempting to erase Black history in the state.

“The travel advisory comes in direct response to Governor Ron DeSantis’ aggressive attempts to erase Black history and to restrict diversity, equity, and inclusion programs in Florida schools,” said a statement released by the NAACP.

The only things that scares me about Florida travel are:

- knock down drag out hair pulling slugfest fights among airport travelers.

Florida has a huge budget surplus. The state should set aside a few million dollars to advertise this travel advisory far and wide.

It can only help the state if more people know about it - and if the national association means anything to anybody.

In addition to the comments against the NAACP's silly scare-tactic by Hillsborough County Republican Party Chair Dana Galen, the head of the Florida GOP, Christian Ziegler, also has pointed out that the head of the NAACP in Florida, Leon Russel, lives in Tampa..
