just 4.2 light-years from Earth

"Just". To the best of our current understanding, it's not possible for anything with mass to travel at the speed of light, and if it were, it would take us over 4 years to get there.

As far as I can recall the Parker solar probe is the fastest manmade object in history at 430,000 mph. At this speed it only take a little over 6,700 years to travel there.
