Following the testimony of former Hunter Biden business partner Devon Archer on Monday, CNN published a report stating that Archer testified that Hunter Biden had been selling the "illusion" of access to his father, Joe Biden.
A source familiar with the closed-door meeting also claimed that Archer did not provide evidence connecting Biden to his son’s overseas business dealings.
Democrat Rep. Dan Goldman, who sat through a portion of Archer’s interview, told reporters during a break that Hunter putting his father on speakerphone during meetings with business associates was "part of the daily conversations" between the father and son, adding that "the witness was very consistent that none of those conversations ever had to do with any business dealings or transactions.
Goldman said it was "kind of a preposterous premise to think that a father should not say hello to the people that a son is at dinner with and that is literally all the evidence is."
The Democrat said that Biden’s phone conversations were not conflicts of interest because it "was not done in the furtherance of" his son’s business interests.
House Oversight Chairman James Comer told a different story though, revealing that "Devon Archer’s testimony today confirms Joe Biden lied to the American people when he said he had no knowledge about his son’s business dealings and was not involved."
"Joe Biden was ‘the brand’ that his son sold around the world to enrich the Biden family," he said the value of adding Hunter Biden to the board of Ukrainian energy company Burisma was "the brand," which was revealed to be Joe Biden.
Archer stated that "Burisma would have gone out of business if 'the brand' had not been attached to it."
Archer also testified that in December of 2015, Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky and Burisma executive Vadym Pozharski placed constant pressure on Hunter Biden to get aid from Washington DC in regards to Viktor Shokin’s investigation into corruption within Burisma.
Bucket carriers - taking a risky tack with that one.
Pretty much admitting it, ain’t they.
A slow drip.
Heh, CNN has had the “illusion” of broadcasting truth for years. How’s that Russian conspiracy between Trump and the Ruskies doing there, CNN? And Covid/Fauci, the Hillabeast, and on and on and on?
"We cover for the DemocRAT felons all day every day"
If he was selling the “illusion of access,” instead of access, it’s still fraud, and a fraud that Joe knowingly participated in.
What about avoiding “even the appearance of impropriety” as a standard of conduct for high officials?
I know I am certainly under the illusion that Hunter Biden was selling access to Vice President Jo Biden. The higher the fee, the more ‘access’.
so “illusion” is now a form of currency? Who knew?
...And that was Robot-Joe that got on the phone calls?
oh i see... there is nothing illegal because the influence joe biden brought to the table was only inferred.
Hunter IS the most brilliant man i know.
How big of a stooge is Goldman?
The US goverment sells an illusion of security and working for the voter. This is nothing new, being used to sell influence is selling ineffective influence, that goes along with Joe Biden. Could the big guy be Barry?
You don’t get millions for doing nothing. With the exception of our government.
Per Andy McCarthy, that is Fraud and he could be charged with that as well.
If that was true, Hunter would have been Vince Fostered
So now they are trying to separate Hunter from His dad. We’re a long way from Russian disinformation
CNN is calling Joe and idiot then.
“Oh hi Hunter. What? Another conference call with your prospects and business partners? Sure!!! I’d love to. I’m never too busy for my son and random people I have no reason to meet, no curiosity about, and owe nothing to.”
If he testified that Hunter was selling only the illusion and that Biden said only “Hello,” there would have been no reason for Archer to testify.
