Gasoline prices have rise over 6.5% just since 7/23/2023.

About 3 weeks ago, I paid $2.99 and now it is $3.69.
Oddly enough, US petroleum production has been steadily increasing, and is now back up to pre-covid 2019, and oil prices are now where they were in Oct 2021.
Gasoline prices aren’t that closely coupled with petroleum. There is something else going on.

Not true. We had $2.00 a gallon gas with Trump. It’s right now $5.60 which is eleventy percent higher. At one point it was $7.30 a gallon.
And the idiot( or evil nefarious old dude) sold our reserves to China.

I am of the opinion that one law will SIGNIFICANTLY reduce goth gasoline and diesel prices - Allow for the HOME production of Butanol (gasoline replacement) and Hexanol (diesel replacement) from natural gas.
Also, have the USDA encourage the creation of farm co-ops to receive bio-algae from farmers and process into bio diesel.
If gas goes up, diesel also goes up.
And especially when diesel goes up, most other prices will eventually go up.
It’s called inflation.
