Ron DeSantis’s controversial super PAC ‘Never Back Down’ leaked its own memorandum suggesting the Florida Governor attack presidential rival Vivek Ramaswamy’s historic support for inheritance tax by bringing up his Indian heritage and Hindu faith. “Ramaswamy – a Hindu who grew up visiting relatives in India and was very much ingrained in India’s caste system – supports [inheritance tax] as a mechanism to preserve a meritocracy in America and ensure everyone starts on a level playing field,” the memo reads, encouraging DeSantis to “sledgehammer” the tech entrepreneur during a debate to create a media “moment”. The memo recommends DeSantis attempt to imitate Donald Trump by coming up with a derisive nickname for Ramaswamy, suggesting “Vivek the Fake” or “Fake Vivek” The DeSantis camp’s concerns over Ramaswamy reflect the fact that, having failed to make any real progress in peeling off MAGA conservatives from the former president, the Floridian now faces being driven into third place in the Republican primary race, with polls already putting Ramaswamy ahead of him on multiple occasions.

DeSantis needs to reign in this idiot super PAC...
I wonder how much money they’ve been paid for “helping?”
It looks like they were formed with the sole purpose of burying DeSantis.
The US has financial and economic problems. I have never seen a tax that forcibly takes people’s money that is fair.
Fairness is nothing but an emotional word of the left when it comes to involuntary acts of government.
It is an honest debate over estate tax...how much, wealth tax...how much...income tax...how much....sales tax ....how much .... taxes with fancy names like investment that are not an investment.
Because it is involuntary it is impossible to be fair.
I don’t support this gut it all... he’s a fraud as far as I can tell..
Talks a good game but his actions don’t remotely match his rhetoric... Far more Slick Willie than Ronald Reagan.
Folks supporting this guy really need to dig deeper into his past.
His religion has nothing to do with why I don’t support him.
Ron needs to learn the rule of holes.
Vivek has been receiving Soros’ support in the past.
I’d never vote for an Indian hindu I don’t need Ron to bad mouth him.
It appears that several folks got the memo. It’s all they have been saying for a couple of weeks now.
Wait until the Trump team starts focusing on him.
Politics is dirty business.
I support Trump. Ramaswamy is articulate and knows what buttons to push to appeal to MAGA so DeSantis sees him as a threat.
On the religious matter, I’d prefer a protestant Christian. I also don’t support the inheritance tax.
He reminds me of a Tony Robbins type of guy. A lot of the VC guys out there are high intensity Type A personalities.
He talks using lists formed in focus groups. They hit the sweet spot...but when it comes to running the government, I am not confident he could pull it off.
He’s right. This is a Biblical Country. But 2024 is Trump’s.
DeSantis has an establishment Deep State problem with his associates but he's still too naive to know it yet.
Circular firing squad assembled by lower level moles.
Deport all Indians.
DeSantis is a good man - but a little wet behind the ears... It took Trump a while to understand how corrupt the deep state was too.
I’m starting to think that the republican party is trying to make us look like a bunch of assholes. Don’t attack the guy because he’s Hindu. It makes the entire party look bad.
What I don’t like about Vivek is the way he sounds. He sounds like a guy who is constantly spouting off always making a lot of noise and controversy(not the good kind). He seems to be trying to sound like an asshole.
Yep. Obviously the folks at MSNBC/CNN will run with this as a ‘typical example’ of GOP xenophobia.
