If “democracy” can’t survive without mass internet censorship, then it seems to me that democracy is not a valid system.
The entire concept of modern democracy, which is universal suffrage democracy (as opposed to a traditional American-style system where only land-owners can vote) – is that every person in society are totally actualized human beings capable of absolute rationality.
However, if the only way these citizens are capable of making decisions is if the government regulates their exposure to the free flow of information, then why on earth are they allowed to vote?
It doesn’t make sense.
Take your pick:
Either every individual is totally capable of analyzing information and drawing the most logical possible conclusions from it, or democracy is retarded as a concept of governing.
I mean, if people are too stupid to figure out the basic facts of reality, and get confused by news stories that present conflicting ideas, then you need to stop democracy.
The whole purpose of today’s public education system appears to be to produce functional illiterates to serve as serfs to the government.
Coupled with the continuing attempts to abolish the 2nd Amendment, its goal appears to turn us all into “Subjects” as opposed to “Citizens”.
It depends on what version of democrazy you’re talkin’ about. The Josef Stalin version (the Covid 19 of all democrazies) which is currently being installed here in the former America, is a failure no matter what happens.
In a society where anything goes, the only way to control it is government. Total rule by the state. And I’d say we’re getting pretty close.

Seems as the style of democracy as practiced by liberals is the kind where whoever shows up first and screams the loudest gets what they want automatically.

We don’t live in a “ democracy”. The system was never designed to be a democracy.
We are a Republic!
Democracy is a major feature of our form of government.
Once people understand that the definition of Democracy that ‘they’ have is a system where ‘they’ control who’s allowed to run for office, and therefore ‘they’ control who is in power over us.
And, obviously, ‘they’ cannot control Trump, which is why ‘they’ fear him so much, to the point of trying to jail him and having to send their Operatives to sites like this little one to denigrate him.

Incorrect. Voting is a major feature of our government. The Founders were absolutely horrified by democracies. That’s why our government was designed the way it was.
