What is even worse are the physical subscription numbers. The physical US Newspaper circulation is below what was distributed in 1940. Is this a spiral of doom for mainstream media?
People used to have to pay for the paper to be delivered. Once the Internet became a force, digital advertisers picked up the gap between subscribers and media for online consumption. Then the coverage got worse.

Despite losing money, the MSM won’t slow down a bit in pushing leftwing propaganda. In their minds, their primary goal is to serve the Democrat party, not earning a profit. Besides, they know super rich Establishment people will keep their putrid operation afloat.
local news outlets: papers, radio, tv are what conservatives need to target. get the word to the pretend journalists populating whatever local news sources are in your town and hold their feet (and their advertiser’s feet) to the fire.
make them stop repeating whatever the national news is saying. make them do real reporting.
The last time I read a newspaper was many years ago. The local newspaper here had an editorial calling for more immigration because, it said, a flower garden looks better when it has many flowers mixed together. Thinking that such stupidity is dangerous, I quit reading it.
