To her parents

I just got an update from my daughter in law about Allie. Here is what I heard.
Allie has progressed to the point that she has been moved off of ICU and to a floor where she will be receiving various therapies.
Her major long-term problems are her being “slow” and always in need of care and giving her back her ability to speak clearly.
During intubation Allie bit off a piece of her tongue and at this point there has been only so much that could be done to fix it.
The major short-term problems are getting her strength back so she can walk and feed herself.
The prognosis for her physical recovery seems to be better but Allie faces a long road as doctors work to restore her social and interpersonal skills.
Maybe our prayers can bring Allie to full health. The damage to her brain that occurred early on is still being determined.
So she, and her family, needs your prayers.
Allie is 4 years old and in Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
She is expected to be in CHOP for at least another two months.
Prayers for Allie and her family are still needed and much appreciated.

Prayers of complete healing for this precious child of God. Praying for angels to be stationed in her room for her peace and healing. Thank you Jesus for her progress. Little ones have such a will to fight because they know your love and the love of mom and dad and family. AMEN.

I will keep Allie in my prayers. Children have remarkable restorative ability. May God strengthen Allie and be the wind beneath her wings on her journey to health. May he hold her in the hollow of his hands.
