Gun stolen in baggage at Atlanta airport............shocked, absolutely shocked...................
Atlanta is full of thieves. I don’t send my daughter anything through the US Mail anymore because it gets stolen.
“Stealing a gun at an airport is a bad idea. There are cameras everywhere”.
LOL-—like that matters at all with our corrupt government. Guaranteed the only person being investigated is the rightful gun owner.
The owner of the custom pistol missing in Atlanta checked the firearm correctly, and watched as it went through TSA processing.
...And the response from a clerk when the weapon does not show up:
“He goes to type the number in, now it says the gun was never checked in. Not even through Delta, or TSA,” he said. “So, somebody took it out of the system. What do you mean it’s ghost?”
The thief will be somebody working for TSA in combination with a baggage handler.
Not the first time this has happened in Atlanta.
My guess is, they may find who took it, but won’t retrieve the gun.
Au contraire! Bruthas and sistas know dat Fultan Co. Fat Fani has dey back!
Completely pathetic.
Boycott Georgia!
I knew a guy who was an avid golfer and he would ship his clubs to wherever he was going via FedEx prior to leaving for the trip.
I simply don’t travel by air anymore, tired of airports, delays, cancellations everything. When I did travel, one time I checked a Martin guitar and it was never found. A $5,000 guitar that just disappeared. The one or two times I did travel with a guitar after that I literally bought another ticket so my guitar could rest in the seat next to me.
I remember when lots of guns were stolen from train freight cars. Some idiot in Washington had decided that all guns shipped by rail had to have a big red sticker on labeled FIREARMS.
A gun dealer in Little Rock Arkansas told me that the conductors on the trains were in cahoots with people on the roads. Those on the roads would wait at certain rail crossings on rural roads and the conductors would toss off those labeled FIREARMS to a waiting car.
Years ago Mike Wallace of 60 Minutes did a report on robbed freight cars. He talked with a gang of blacks who said they had last stolen meat from a refrigerated car, but the best haul they ever made was...”GUNS!” They refused to say what they had done with them.
If I were going to have a declared firearm in luggage I would disassemble it, put the slide and barrel in one bag, the frame in another. After the declaration someone said to then pull out a roll of heavy duct tape and wrap the luggage a couple of times.
