Total Eclipse of the Brain
The Pipeline ^ | 8 Apr 2024 | Michael Walsh

Posted on 04/08/2024 9:14:32 AM PDT by Rummyfan

Back in the day, when such things were allowed, potboiler thrillers set in various benighted lands often included a scene in which the ooga-booga natives were interrupted in various exercises of stake-burning or incipient cannibalism by the claim of one of the intended victims that he could blot out the sun. Prove it! they shouted and -- armed with his European foreknowledge of an imminent solar eclipse in that very spot and at that very moment -- so he did. The indigenous peoples collapsed in fear and awe while the divinized interlopers made their getaway.

Today, things have flipped. The former exemplars of Western civilization have become primitive cultists fearful of nature and desperately trying to appease it in any of its manifestations other than a sunny, cloudless sky with the temperature in the low 70s. Any daily deviation from what we might term the Floridian April Norm is viewed with alarm bordering on hysteria: minor earthquakes in the New York City region last week triggered an aberrational reaction among the "climate change" cultists, the nearest things to those natives of old: what have we done? And what must we do to appease Mother Gaia?

Time to hop out of the cannibals' pot and back into the light of sanity -- just as soon as the eclipse is over and we bravely celebrate our survival from something that's been occurring since God created, the sun, the moon, the stars, and the Earth we somehow continue to inhabit despite our own best efforts to drive ourselves insane.

The eclipse of the moon to awe the natives was first practiced by Christopher Columbus on his last voyage to the Caribbean.

We need to find a volcano to throw a virgin in. One virgin of each of the 87 genders except male and female should be enough to sooth Mother gaia.

Eclipse Day -— April 8th/24 -— What a great day to chemtrail, huh? Spray along the totality path, millions & millions of noses and mouths gawking skyward....what a perfect opportunity. Shortly followed by sickness, lockdowns, mail-in ballots, and a Dem victory in Nov.

AH HA! Simply diabolical. And at this point in time it’s probably no joke.

Yes! I tell that story often, though in the telling today to someone I conflated the Lunar Eclipse with the Solar Eclipse!

Columbus was a pretty sharp guy. He had to be to avoid mutinies and navigate with the limitations of the time, and he was astute enough to know there was a total lunar eclipse coming up, and told them if they didn't give him food to tide them over the Gods were going to be angry and would take away the moon!

And it worked...:)

I have read several excellent books on him such as Samuel Eliot Morison's works Admiral of the Ocean Sea, The Second Voyage of Christopher Columbus, Christopher Columbus, Mariner, The Caribbean as Columbus Saw It, and The European Discovery of America".

Granted, many of these works are drawn from the same pool of knowledge, but his writing, is both engaging and well researched.

I particularly enjoyed The Caribbean as Columbus Saw It, where he took his sailboat back in the late Fifties and early Sixties down to the Caribbean, and described landmarks as they appeared at that time.

It really brought history home to me.

And I always loved that story about the Lunar Eclipse. I admire Columbus greatly, and the woke crowd can eat my shorts.
