INSANITY: UN Assembly Votes to Back Palestinian Membership Bid, Grant New 'Rights and Privileges'

In a slap to Israel’s face, the United Nations General Assembly voted by an overwhelming 143-9 margin Friday to grant new “rights and privileges” to Palestinians and also reconsider its request to become the 194th member of the U.N. The nine nations who voted against the measure were Czechia, Hungary, Argentina, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Israel, and the United States.

The U.S. had opposed membership for Palestine in the past, and reiterated their stand before the vote:

The United States vetoed a widely backed council resolution on April 18 that would have paved the way for full United Nations membership for Palestine, a goal the Palestinians have long sought and Israel has worked to prevent.

U.S. deputy ambassador Robert Wood made clear on Thursday that the Biden administration opposed the assembly resolution. The United States was among the nine countries voting against it, along with Israel.

“We’ve been very clear from the beginning there is a process for obtaining full membership in the United Nations, and this effort by some of the Arab countries and the Palestinians is to try to go around that,” Wood said Thursday. “We have said from the beginning the best way to ensure Palestinian full membership in the U.N. is to do that through negotiations with Israel. That remains our position.”

Israel was infuriated by the outcome, which occurred even as the Jewish state remains at war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Israeli ambassador to the U.N Gilad Erdan destroyed a copy of the group’s charter, saying, “You are shredding the U.N. charter with your own hands. Yes, yes, that’s what you’re doing. Shame on you.” Watch:

Foreign Affairs Minister of Israel Katz tweeted that the resolution rewards violence:

[As translated by X:] The political theater of the United Nations made an artificial, distorted and disconnected decision, which gives a reward to the murderers of ... Hamas and harms the efforts to free the abductees. The message that the UN is sending to the region saturated with pain is - violence pays off.

Unsurprisingly, Palestine’s ambassador had a much different view, and decried the war that Hamas started while thanking college students who are rioting all over the U.S. for their support for the terrorist group:

He also thanked protesters on US university campuses and abroad who have demonstrated against the Israel-Hamas war. “Our flag flies high and proud in Palestine and across the globe, and on the campus of Columbia University. It has become a symbol by all those who believe in freedom and is just ruled by all those who can no longer stand idly by in the face of such utter injustice,” Mansour said.

Israel has once again been left isolated by much of the world, and the only truly powerful ally they have is the United States. However, despite President Biden’s declaration of “ironclad support,” he has repeatedly undermined the Israelis and recently announced that he will pause certain weapons shipments if the IDF attacks the Hamas stronghold of Rafah. With friends like that…

Gee, some widespread violent atrocities go a long way toward being recognized as statesmen at the United Nations./S

Israelis burned, dismembered, a woman’s head slowly severed by a terrorist struggling to do the job with a shovel, a baby kidnapped. All part of the Hamas/PLO/Hezbollah road to respectability and recognition. Gains fandom among the young people in college, too.

The old
US Out of the UN, UN Out of the US
bumper stickers are still current to some of us.

One world Government proponents stepping to assist Biden’s reelection, since all other attempts to thwart Trump are falling apart.

Looks like the pro pali protest movement is an excuse to make the UN relevant.

Me, too.

The UN is an international version of the US Congress wringing its hands and shuffling its feet wondering if it can work up the courage to censure the Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib slurs against Jews. “Look for the Benjamins, baby, that’s how the Jews run DC”
NBC News: Pelosi, House Democratic leaders denounced Ihan Omar for promoting ‘anti-Semitic tropes.’
Omar said her intention was “never to offend my constituents or Jewish Americans as a whole.” But the freshman lawmaker, who was one of the first two Muslim women elected to Congress last fall, added that she was not backing down on the “problematic role of lobbyists in our politics.”

Now the Squad is bolder as recent comments show in 2024.

But Congress withdrew from the firm action of censure, instead passing a weak message of “all people” should try to refrain from “all statements that hurt others.” Without citing Omar by name as had been suggested for the vote earlier.

UnitedNazis are irrelevant by their own bias.
Their resolutions should be printed on soft paper to facilitate sone useful application in the outhouse

Look for Biden, in the period of time between the election and Trump’s inauguration next January, to allow such a resolution to pass, and for Paleoswinians to become a UN member.

We don’t know when it happens only that it does. The division of Jerusalem (Judea and Samaria) will be a huge mile-marker on the road toward the end of the age. It is my opinion that any remaining time for this world will be quickly running out after this event.

“The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.” Isaiah 24:5

“And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.” Isaiah 28:18

How is this accomplished?

“The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.” Psalm 2:2-3

“A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the LORD hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith the LORD.” Jeremiah 25:31

“I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.” Joel 3:2

That's exactly right.

Palestine was a name the Roman Empire used to try to erase the independence of the Jewish people. There was never any Palestinian nation state independent of Rome. Nor will there ever be one now.

Statehood means that a nation immediately becomes responsible for all actions emminating from her landmass. This plays well into Israel’s hands. The Palestinian’s terrorism can no longer be tolerated nor justified. If they are given their own borders, then they must observe international law. Hamas cannot do that and govern, for they are a terrorist organization.

Granting UN recognition only allows Israel to actually declare war on a nation State, instead of conducting anti-terrorism operations,

The DumbA$$ as the UN who voted for this did not think this through, now that they have given the Statehood to Palestinians it is up to the Palestinians to enfore their own laws and boarders; if the Palestinians want to make war with Israel their State will cease to exist and Israel will be justified in occupying and annexing all of it. These are the spoils of war.

The UN has now put the Palestianian Authority and Hamas on notice that they must join the “rules based international order” and their terrorism will not be tolerated by Israel or the World.

Membership has it benefits.... and unfortunately for those who are invested in terrorism like Iran and Hamas, this will does not bode well.
