NBC Television | 12/09/2003 | Jonathan

Posted on 12/09/2003 9:09:44 PM PST by Jonathan

12:05 AM Eastern.

Former President Jimmy Carter reads pornography on the Leno/Tonight Show.

What is wrong with this man? Can't he be committed to a mental institution?

What happened to dignity and respect for the office????

He's supposed to be a born again Christian. They would NEVER read porn. I'll have to try to catch the show.

There seems to be a variance between his profession and his faith.

Pro abortion, devil-loving Christian?

I think not.

That's not porn; that's just Carter reading over his administration's economic statistics.

I only flipped channels because Kuchinich was talking on Nightline and I was risking physical illness listening.

And the real litmus test, how does he feel about Israel and the Jews?

I believe that he is a close friend of Yassir the Murderer.

What a traitor.

Looks like Reagan isn't the only ex-president with Alzheimers.

Oh, so it was more of a snuff film, then...

Reading porn? Probably just one of his poems. I've had the misfortune of hearing some of his others.

Yep, with porn there should be stimulus, not 'malaise'. :)

It was a passage from a "novel" that he has "written".

I propose that it be read to Al Quida members we capture. They will gladly confess/inform/and then die of brain trauma if forced to listen.

The passage Leno had him read was about the sexual arousal of the protagonist.

Unbelievable.

Good idea. ....but if the Col. West case is any indication, both the reader and the one who gave the order to read could be subject to strict disciplinary action.

It's pretty sad that the only good thing I can say about Jimmy concerns his work for Habitat for Humanity. Even with advancing age people marvel that the guy gets right in there and doesn't pull the Clinton of yapping and shirking real work when he could easily do so. Unfortunately for America he continues stumbling through appeasement-style attempts at statesmanship that make Neville Chamberlain look brilliant in retrospect.

George Bush, Ramsey Clarke and Jimmy Carter are going down in a plane with one parachute...

Carter never lusted after anything like Chris Mathews lusts to destroy Vice President Cheney. Carter is on Hardball tonight, and Mathews is asking him asinine questions!!!

Basically accusing Cheney of secretly conniving to force the dumb President Bush to go to war against Saddam. He asked Carter if he thinks Cheney has done things as Vice President that he wasn't legally entitled to do. Thank goodness Carter said a vice president can do anything a president asks him to do.
