Thank you for the explanation about the ashes.
It makes me ill that Kerry would use something like this as a photo-op.

It's sickening to see him showing off his ashes after his abmysal abortion record. The blood of the innocent cries out from the ground.

Uhm, are we totally SURE that THIS isn't another 'doctored photo' making the rounds? I mean: he should be having the same reaction to touching blessed ashes as a vampire would have to touching blessed water...

You're welcome.
His using this as a photo-op makes me ill, too, and angry.
Our faith, which is beautiful beyond words to tell, has enough bad publicity these days without some hypocrite using it to pretend to be something he's not....
...or would it be... to pretend not to be something he is?

John Kerry today had ash smeared on his forehead in another attempt to hide the 666 mark of the beast. After numerous plastic surgeries, and botox injections, the mark has seemed to enlarge. A close Kerry advisor was quoted as saying "We know an openly active minion of satan cannot be elected President, so we are aggressively pursuing the "how can we fool them today" strategy. The ash seemed like a good idea as it could be a way to fool the dimwits in flyover country into thinking that our candidate does not support the murder of millions of innocent unborn children, the continued unchecked reign of tyrants who like to put their subjects in plastic shredders for fun, or the destruction of every Judeo-Christian belief that provides the moral foundation of our republic."
When questioned about these positions, Mr Kerry's spokesman became quite agitated, and said "How dare you question Mr. Kerry's patriotism. He served in Vietnam. He got medals in Vietnam. It's George Bush's fault that when he came home from Vietnam he wasn't annointed king of America for having gone to Vietnam. If Bush hadn't been AWOL from the National Guard, the military leaders would have had time to focus on Mr. Kerry, and install him as President for life. We are just trying to remedy that oversight now, and we believe Mr. Bush should step down now and allow Mr. Kerry, who was in Vietnam, to assume his rightful poition. After all, Mr Bush wasn't elected you know."
Back to you Dan...

OK, what liberal, (perhaps Gay) priest put the ashes on his forehead? This high priest perhaps (albeit, from the grave)? Might answer the other poster's observation that the cross is upside-down!

It depends. What day of this week is it?
Sunday, not.
Monday, is.
Tuesday, not.
Wednesday, is.
Is it is. Depending on what the meaning of the word "is" is.
