PRAYER REQUEST'S FOR GRANDMAC

PLEASE PRAY FOR GRANDMA C's
(My website is free, if it gets too many hits I have to pay. Please only go there if you are really interested in more information by clicking on the Miracles)
2003 will be a year I won't soon forget. Last year (actually Christmas Eve 2002) I went to care for my Father who had had 3 strokes, cardiac & renal failure. I was up and down all night. I rarely got a break, you just could not leave him. Anyone who has cared for someone who is very ill for a long time, knows the overwhelming fatigue. Then I am not well myself and went into flares with my illness, Myastenia Gravis & Adult onset Stills Disease. When my father died July 17th, I stayed and helped my Mom to get situated for a couple of weeks. Then when I came home my 13 year old grandson had major open heart surgery (3 weeks after my Dad's death). By the time I was done, I was completely exhausted and sick. I had an overwhelming need to be cared for myself. But I couldn't turn to my daughter, she was caring for her son. I had no money, so I just tried to made do and tried to get well. Yet I think that was the seed for this vision or project.
In Matthew 11:28 Jesus says "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.". But it isn't always possible to get that rest. For awhile I have been considering taking people into my own home. The overall purpose of this would be a place for believers to come for restbit and to recoup. A place where they can be ministered too instead of having to minister. A place where they don't have to worry about if they can afford it or not, or spending money they don't have. They could take a weekend or a month if needed. Then hopefully they can return to their ministries refreshed and revitalized. I have not been able to shake this and am wondering if this is the Lords Will for me to do this. But there are these 3 things that need to happen before it can come to be.
- In the home I have, it is only 2 bedrooms and 1 bath and the community has a limit of 2 weeks on guest. So I cannot do it here. So I have to sell my home. Thus Miracle #1 is the first step of the Lord showing me this is what he wants. When I was trying to paint, I sat down and cried out to Him I can't do this, it is physically impossible with my arm weakness and my leg weakness. So He sent me two ladies from church who selflessly worked so hard to complete this, and one of the ladies husband worked with her to move my furniture + another neighbor also has helped me tirelessly in what needed to be done. Then my Pastor came over and washed down my siding. This was very encouraging that maybe I am on the right path. So I ask you to please pray for Miracle #1 to sell,
- I am in debt. I can hardly care for myself financially, more or less guest who are visiting me. So I must become debt free. Thus Miracle #2. So after my place sells, I will move into a cheap room somewhere near my daughter, to finish paying off the debt. Now it is possible the Lord will handle this in another way - I will just have to wait and see. I CAN'T accept donations because it would be subtracted from my long term disability. Please pray I have the discipline to become debt free, and I can stay out of a flair with my health for Miracle #2. I had not had a flair in 3 years because I rested a lot before my Dad's illness. So I will have to be disciplined to rest also. Then when this occurs I will go on to the next miracle.
- This is the biggest Miracle of all. I am on a limited income, I cannot afford huge house payment. So I really cannot imagine how the Lord will work this one out. I would need at least 4 or 5 bedrooms and 2 1/2 - 3 bathrooms. Then a home in a park like setting, which up here in Northern Idaho, is not that hard to accomplish. It would probably need to be in the Post Falls, Hayden, Twin Lakes or Rathdrum area, since I take my grandchildren to school. So this is entirely the Lord's Miracle (of course aren't they all). I don't even know what I can do to make it happen. Please pray that if it be the Lords Will he will show me the way and I will listen for Miracle #3. Jesus said in Matthew 19:26 - "For man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
It can only be accomplished by the Grace of God and Prayer. Please join me in praying for this project, for me to stay humble and be obedient and to serve others. Bookmark this and I will update as these Miracles are achieved.
Philippians 2:3 - 8
3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.
4 Each of you should look not only to your own interest but also to the interests of others.
5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.
6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped.
7 but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death - even death on the cross!

Hi, GrandmaC -- it's SO good to hear from you, and to see your plans. I'm praying for your health, and that of your family, and then for your further needs to be met -- may God continue to reveal and grant the desires of your heart!
I'm pinging some good folks I know, though I imagine you've already pinged some of them. Hugs to you, and best wishes -- thanks for the post.
Some of you I'm pinging don't know GrandmaC -- so I'm hoping someone can make a link to relevant threads.

Well, Grams, darn! I had no idea you'd been having the same kind of year as me! I've thought of you so often and the email I had wasn't any good. I don't know if the good Lord listens to prayers from sinners such as me, but I'll give it a shot 'cause I love ya and I know he loves you! The good news is, believe it or not things do get better. I'm so sorry to hear about your dad and your grandson's illness. I hope he's doing better. Keep in touch!

Yes physically he (my Grandson) is doing better, but this is a problem that will never be cured. This was his 6th surgery + too many angioplasties to count. It is the thorn in his flesh - I know Jesus will use it to His Glory.

To: farmfriend; GrandmaC
Thank you for the ping, farmfriend.
GrandmaC, I will pray for your miracles. I understand your consuming desire to do His will.
I have embarked on a mission for underprivileged children which God told me was to be my purpose for the rest of my life.
It is my goal in life, and God and I will get there.
I have to always remember that my time frame is not His.
It will come in His time frame, and so will your goal.
We have to take it one day at a time, and let Him guide the way.
God bless you for your compassion and love, dear one.
To: GrandmaC
I will pray for you because I know that God performs miracles. Many times the Lord has answered prayer when I have asked for a particular kind of place to live. After all our Father owns the cattle on a million hills. Finding you this place is nothing to Him.
To: GrandmaC
If anyone has any stories on how you have ministered to others and needed time to revitalize afterwards please share here too. I would love to hear of others ministries, or suggestions you might have.
Sometimes ministering to others is what is revitalizing us. Our body may be weakened, but our faith seems so much stronger.
I have never known of you before now, but already love you.
To: GrandmaC
Here's hoping you find a way to fulfill your dream.
Best regards,
MA

I have to always remember that my time frame is not His. It will come in His time frame, and so will your goal. We have to take it one day at a time, and let Him guide the way. You are absolutely right here. We get so excited, but then comes the time of 'Being still' in the Lord and waiting. I figure the debt-free version of my Miracle (Miracle#2) may take some time. But doing it will show the Lord my commitment and willingness to sacrifice too. The Lord has shown me over and over that His timing is perfect.
I would of thought His plan for me would of included children. As a former pediatric nurse (before I got sick) and even as a child - I always saw myself working with Children. But that seems to have changed now. Thank you very much for your words. And thank you for committing your service to Him. I am sure the Lord will bless your commitment to Him. And especially thank you for your prayers.

Let's see what the Word says:
2 Corinthians 8: 9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
2 Corinthians 9: 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
3 John 2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Sometimes ministering to others is what is revitalizing us. Our body may be weakened, but our faith seems so much stronger.I agree with this, serving others is very good for the spirit. I get far more pleasure serving others. But it was my body that became entirely exhaused. The Bible mentioned several times about the women caring for Jesus needs. Jesus rested also, so did God in Gensis. So my hope is to make a place, just for a short time, people can come to be ministered to themselves. If it be His Will. Thank you so much for all these wonderful bumps and conversation.

MA so good to see you again. I haven't seen you since Sandpoint I don't think.
I don't think this is my dream. I can think of a 100 reasons why it couldn't happen. I really think this one came from the Lord. But time will tell on this. If the Miracles occur it will be a definate! There is no better place to be, than having our Lord plan out our lives, and living in that Will. Thank you so much for the bump

Great seeing you again. I can't do that because of my disability. It would be saying I could work when I am not able to. These people would be just honored guest in my home. It is possible for someone else too if they wished to be involved. But trying to do fund raising and soliciting and doing the books for that. I am totally not able to. So if the Lord wishes that He will have to bring another person/couple to the forfront to do that aspect of it. I mention, I think on my webpage in Miracle #3, about the possiblity of a couple joining me so we can take single men in also. At this point it would only be able to be families or women.
How are you doing? Thank you for the suggestion. It is possible the Lord will bring up a couple to do this with me.
